Joseph's Win

Joseph is just an average kid in a average high school but all that changed when Joseph encountered a lottery ticket on the floor. It all began on a cool Wednesday morning. As Joseph walked towards school he noticed a little paper floating around and as Joseph kept walking the paper came closer and closer. Finally the little piece of paper landed on his foot. Joseph starred at it and finally decided to pick it up. He put it in his book bag and proceed with his daily routine which was school.When Joseph got out of school he took the bus home. "Joseph!" yelled his mom. "Please run to the store and get tortillas! Pay with your money and Ill pay         you back when you get back." she said. Joseph put his book bag down and took out his wallet. As he was taking out his wallet he finally noticed that the little piece of paper was a lottery ticket. He picked it up and took it with him. Joseph then dragged his body to the store. When he got inside he immediately grabbed the tortillas and walked towards the cash register. He seen the lottery machine were you could check if you won any money. He took out the lottery ticket and said, "Oh, what the heck, its worth a try." As he scanned it A sound went off. Joseph could not believe it. He won half a million dollars. He paid for the tortillas and ran back home. "Mom!Mom!" Joseph screamed. "What?" she replied. "I found this lottery ticket this morning on the way to school and I checked to see if it was worth anything and it is! Half a million dollars!" Joseph's family became rich and lived happily ever after.
