Violet Wnek Trip to Poland Sitting on an airplane for about 10 hours was defiantly worth it. Over the summer last year, I went on vacation to Poland with my mom and sister. Poland is by far my favorite vacation spot. Most of my family members live there, and if I could, I would go back there every year. When I first found out my mom bought us plane tickets, I was so mad because I really didn’t want to go. I wanted to spend my summer before freshman year of high school with my friends. I didn’t know how I was going to live without texting my friends for about a month. The only way I was able to communicate with them was through Facebook, but with the time difference it was hard. My dad was about to go, but my mom returned his plane ticket about 4 hours before our flight. When I got there I didn’t even think about Chicago, I was just happy to be my family that I haven’t seen in the longest time ever. My favorite part of the whole trip was visiting new places, and going to a market just to buy myself an ice cream cone every single day. Sometimes, I even had two or three. The main reason we went was to go to two weddings. My cousins, and a friends. I believe weddings in Poland are different, but so much more fun than they are here. The best part is they last till about seven or eight in the morning, and you’re served about eight different meals. They were both really fun. The five weeks that I was there, flew by so fast. I did not want to leave, but I know I had to. I really hope to go back soon.
