My Favorite Place - Jeremy Martinez

There are a lot of places I like to go to, but there is only one place in particular that I feel like I can spend the rest of my life at, and this place is my room. It’s where I keep all of my belongings and everything in my room defines who I am. My room is painted red because my favorite color is red, and when the lights are off, the room is really dark, which is something I like. If you look what are on my red walls, the first thing you will notice will be big black letters that spell, “TheCrexTe”, which is my rap name. I just took tape and sharpie and I spelled out the letters with tape and colored it with black sharpie. Next thing you will notice on my walls will be some pictures and two awards. The pictures aren’t mine because my room was a storage room before I was born. The awards are mine; one award is for when I used to play baseball and my team won the championship and I got a plaque for being on the team; the other award was for something I don’t even know. It was for this thing called the “American Legion” and it for veterans like my grandpa, but they have this grandkids organization, which I’m apart of and one day my grandpa came home with the award and he gave it to me. Next thing that sticks out is what is on my floor around my room. I just have a few chairs around the room, one is a recliner, one is a gaming chair, and the other chair is a fold up chair. Next thing you will notice will be my dresser, or my entertainment center. My dresser has a bunch of crap on top of it like cologne, deodorant, papers, pens, and a bunch of random stuff. I keep my personal stuff in my top draw of my dresser like personal notebooks I write in and stuff my friends give me. I don’t really have it arranged, I just throw anything in there and it lands where ever. My entertainment center has a bunch of random crap on it to, but I have more stuff that I like to show off. I have a trophy from grammar school with a bunch of awards on it. I have a cap gun musket on top of it just because it looks cool. Then I have my dumbbells on there, even though I barely use them. I usually have dishes on top of there, so it shows I’m messy. What all of this means to me is I have everything in my room how I want it. When people come over, I still keep everything in order. Some people have contributed to my room and why it is the way it is, but I fixed the room to accustom me. When you look in my room, you already can tell that I’m messy, unorganized, but you can tell that I’m just me. So that is why my room is my favorite place, my room is me.
