Danielle McNulty A Part of Me 250 essay
My Autobiography
When I graduate, I plan on going to college. I want to go a historical black college or university. I want to study criminal justice. After I finish my four years, I’m going to go to a law school. By the time I’m finish with school, I will be 27 or 30.
Growing up being the only child had its bad and good days. When I got in trouble I couldn’t blame it on anyone else. I didn’t care about having too many friends because I like to be by myself. I played with a couple of people, but not too many. I rather play by myself. Now, that I’m older I’m still the same way. I have friends, but I only hang with them when I want to. I still like to be by myself. We all came from different backgrounds, but we are still friends.
When I moved from Mississippi, I had to get use to how it was. I started to go to school and the kids were and still disrespectful. I’m use to respecting my elders and act like I have some home training. I had to get use to going to certain places and how to get around. I really don’t like it up here, but my family is up here. That’s the only reason why I like it.
I was born and raised in Brookhaven, Mississippi. I was January 18, 1989 in Jackson, Mississippi. My parents are Michelle and Gerald McNulty. I stayed in Mississippi until I was 15. I went to various schools when I stayed down there. My closest relatives are my cousin Anton and my auntie Clarissa. I use to stay with them when I stayed down there until my daddy made me move with him, his wife, and her kids. I hold conversations with them when I want to. I loved living down there, but my family down there made me dislike it. That’s why I moved when I turned 15. My mother was already up here, so I moved up here with her. Even though she was living in Chicago, she was taking care of me.
My dream house is out of this world. Hopefully, I will have a soul mate to share it with. I want at least three cars with two three car garages. I want two floors just decked out. I want a swimming pool, hot tub, and a water fall in the backyard. I also want an inside pool.
I’m the type of person who wants to succeed in life. I want to live comfortable. I don’t want to live pay check to pay check. I want to enjoy life. I don’t want to spend everyday doing the same thing. I think life is too short to just be thinking about little messy stuff and based off negative thoughts and reactions.
Staying in this community is not hard at all. Of course you are going to have haters and people that don’t like you for any reason, but that’s everywhere. I stay to myself and don’t hold conversation with every female and male that walks down the block. You don’t have to be like everyone else.
The reason why I want to go to a black college is to participate and be a part of something that black people founded just for the African American culture. I also want to attend a black college because it shows the rest of the world that blacks aren’t worthless and our race still have hope.
One thing I’m looking forward to is walking across the stage at graduation. I will be so happy when that moment comes. I ‘m also looking towards prom. I know that’s not a night I want to miss. I think those two things are what make your senior year the most vivid times in your memory for the rest of your life.
When I graduate from college will be a very happy day. I will graduate from a black college with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. All my family will be there and I will be so happy.
One place I want to visit is Egypt. The reason why I want to go there is because I love ancient Egypt. The whole thing about how they lived and what type of culture they had. I also love to see how the pyramids look and other things.
My first car I would like it to be a 96 Impala or a 97 Monte Carlo. I also like the Monte Carlos in the thousands. I want my car to be black, gray, or red. I want it to have leather seats and it will be fully loaded.
My favorite color is blue. I love to read and write. I love animals. I have a cat name Precious. When I was little I had a wonderful childhood. I did a lot of things and I had a lot of fun.
Danielle Shavon McNulty is the individual. I’m a seventeen year old young lady with certain goals, moral, and principles in life. I’m very dedicated and committed to myself, others, and God. I’m very responsible, smart, beautiful, and different. Independent is me. I rather try something myself first then ask for help later. I’m very arrogant. I rather am by myself then have a lot of company. Nothing small or childish bothers me. I have a good heart and personality, but certain people have to grown on me.
My greatest strength is having a mind of my own. I’m not anyone’s puppet. I control my actions, emotions, and words. If I make a wrong decision it’s my fault and no one else’s. If I make a good accomplishment I can take ownership and no one else will get the credit. I’m in control of my life beside God and can chose how I want to live it.
My greatest weakness is not able to have the knowledge of knowing what the future holds. When are my down falls going to occur and when I will receive a blessing? The only ways I can prevent myself from destroying my dreams is staying on top of my game and stay focused.
If I knew then what I know now is that people don’t like to see you succeed and make something out of yourself. People see you doing things that are going to benefit you in the near future; they try to do anything to ruin it. You can’t trust everybody or anybody. People will try anything to make you fall off of track and turn your dreams into nightmares. Another thing is when you are a very attractive person. Males and females will try all the wrong things to ruin your reputation. It’s not good to call everybody your friend and I’m glad I learned that at an early age. You just need to see what type of person they are before you take it to that level.
The things I like about my parents are they were always there when I needed them the most. They have showed their support in every kind of way. I got the chance to do something’s that many people didn’t have the chance to do when they were children. The only thing I dislike about my parents is that they be in my business to much, but I thank God for them.
Being a teen in this society is hard now. They way the girls and boy put themselves out there and how our older generation looks down on us. People expect all the females to get pregnant at an early age and run around becoming sluts and unfit women. The boys don’t stand up and be men and just disrespect women of all colors. It makes it hard for the one’s who is trying to make something out of life and not just wasting time they will never get back. Teens that take life serious.
The greatest accomplishments I life so far is not having a baby while in school. I have been good about not having children at an early age and plan to keep it like that. It’s a lot of things I want to do and I just don’t want any kids right now. I want go through with my plans and achieve my goals.
Life is a blessing. I cherish my life. It might be short to some, but I want every second to count. I like to have fun and sit all the foolishness to the side. I want to die knowing I had a wonderful life. You get the change to spend time with love ones and also enjoy yourself.
In the future I will be a very successful black woman. I will have my law degree and also doing things in another field. I will have a happy family and have God in my life. I will have my own law firm, but also work for others as well. I will support others that supported me.
I would love to travel the world in 80 days before I die. I want to see other places besides where I’m staying. I want to experience new things and new people. I want to see what the rest of the world is like and the type of people that’s in it.
My favorite memories from school are just being with my friends. We had some good times together. We laughed and cried together. I like to laugh at them when they do something’s stupid to another person or when they just say stupid things. I also like to see there actions when someone don’t like them. They are some characters.
