I think that Pahom met a horrible fate because I felt that he was tricked for his rubles. Pahom tried to take more land than his physical state could handle because when he returned back from trying to cover the land he had concord he had died because he couldn’t handle the run. I think that when Pahom heard the deal he got greedy and didn’t think about what would happen to him. I also think that the dealer who offered Pahom the deal know that he would try an get greedy and wouldn’t try an think about what would happen to his physical condition, all the dealer cared about was receiving his rubles. This is why I think that Pahom didn’t deserve what happened to him but then again he did because he tried to be greedy. All Pahom cared about was a great amount so he could charge people who trespass into his land. The greed for land and money cause Pahom his life. I believe that Pahom didn’t know that being greedy would cause his death but it happened anyway because his body could not handle the run. This is why a lot people die in today’s society because of greed and if you read the story “How much land does man need” it taught a lesson about greed and what it can do to you. I mean I wouldn’t have tried to be greedy; I would have just taken enough land.
