         Angel just graduated from 8^th grade and can't wait till high school. Angel can't wait to play high school basketball. In 8^th grade angel was the man at basketball. He and his befriend Joe. Joe was the point guard, very fast, hardly made any turnovers, passes very well, and great IQ for the game. Angel was the big man; he did all the dirty work, he rebound, score, the go to guy, and love the game. Angel and Joe were like the perfect two man team. They knew how to play with each other. Every team was scared of these two guys. They also do everything together. They went to party, hung out, went to the mall, and of course played basketball together. When they graduated Joe told angle that he won't be going to Kennedy high school with him. angel was upset about it but not only that, Joe told also told angel that Joe would be leaving Chicago and would be moving out of Chicago, and be moving to Texas. Angel didn't know what to do now. Angle was really looking forward to playing high school basketball, with his best friend/teammate. Joe was also upset about it.But there was nothing they can do about it. So before that day came, they did everything they can together. When the day came, it was heartbreaking. Angel said his goodbyes and gave Joe a few gifts. Everyone there was sad. Angel stayed to watch the plane leave. Before Joe left angel told Joe to call him when he landed. 4 hours go by and still no call. It was only a 2and a half hour fight. Angel thought maybe Joe forgot to call him. The next day goes by and angel gets a call from Joe mom. So angel pick up the phone and it was Joe mom crying and said 'the plane Joe was in crash and everyone in it died'. Angel didn't know what to do or say. He just stood still in silent for a moment. Then angel drops the phone and stared to cry. Ran to his room and just stood there. He didn't want to do anything after that, he didn't leave his house, hardly ever eat, and hardly did anything. School was about to start and for angel, this was going to be his first day in high school. But all angel can think about was his best friend Joe. Now it's time for school. When Joel walks in, he doesn't know anybody. After school ends he goes to try out for basketball not knowing anybody. Everybody on the team looks at angel not knowing who this kid is. After all the work outs angel did fine. Now it was time to play a pickup game. Angel was the last one pick. Nobody wanted angel on their team, angel didn't look like the type who could play basketball.
