“No partner in a love relationship should feel that she or he has to give up an essential part of herself or himself to make it viable workable”

This quote means that if he or she is in love with their partner and your partner is not putting any potential into the relationship, and you feel that you are feeling disconnected from your partner and you decide to give him or her a great part of yourself just so he or she won’t leave you. You think it might work because they’ve never seen a great part of you or you’ve given up something so valuable it might make them stay. I honestly believe that if the couple is really in love neither of them have to worry about pleasing each other just so your partner can either love you more or make them stay. Love is natural and beautiful, no one has to rush things nor do things you shouldn't do just to try and make them happy. If he or she is happy with you you'd feel it they don't have to force it. Like whats the whole point of being in a relationship if only one of you care about making it work. If that one person makes it work just by being with at all time then that truly means the relatinship is real. In a relationship theres no need to be spoiled nor being showed off to the point of a relationship is just to be loved by that person and through the good and bad moments with them.
