Janie no longer worried about herself. The reason why working on herself is so important to the world is because by showing the world what she is worth she will also be showing herself her own importance.

It is important to the entire world that Janie found other people, they find her because Janie self awareness depends on her increased awareness of others. The more you learn about others you also learn things about yourself. It’s important that Janie learn about herself because she wants to know where her status is with others when she compares herself. How you know that you and other people have something in common is because when you start talking to that person lives then look at you as that person. Then you can think back about yourself and what you think you and that person have in common. For example lik me what i think me and my friends have in common is that our attitude is something same talk a lot and act goffie etc. but whats different is our personality and how we carry ourself also.

Mark Damien High School
As, the bell rang for 7th period to end, Monica Jones a 11th grader at Mark Damien High School, got her books into her book bag to go to her locker. As she was walking she saw her best friend Brianna Jackson. “Hey girl I aint seen you in about a whole month, where u been at.” said Monica. “Girl I been sick lately and I don’t know what’s going on with Me.” was Brianna’s response. “Well I hope feel better have you been to the doctor since you haven’t been at school.” Ask Monica. “No because I’m afraid that my mom will find out about what’s been happening with Joe.” Now, Joe was Brianna’s stepfather and he has been making passes at her since she was a little kid, and 4 years ago when she turned 13 he raped her and before Brianna could tell Monica about her mother’s actions she had a flash back to that night.
“Happy Birthday baby girl” said Joe “Thank You Joe did you get me a gift.” “I actually got you 2 gifts one you can get now and the other one you have 2 wait until your mom goes to work tonight.” “Ok so where is my gift for now” Joe reaches behind the couch and gives her a box and he tells her open it. “How did you know I wanted a new leather jacket with my name on it?” She asks him and he laughs saying “that’s what you asked for on your Christmas list last week do you not remember.” “Aw yeah I almost forgot I didn’t get that I was going to ask mom about that but thank you so much.” She walks up to him and gives him a hug and he grabs her butt and she asks “why would you do that Joe.” And he says I m so sorry baby I forgot I thought you were your mom because you have on her perfume.” “Ok that’s fine but please don’t do it again.” She said kind of confused.
“Okay honey I’m on my way to work goodnight and I love you.” Is the last thing Alex said to Brianna that night. “Okay mom I’ll see you later luv ya.” “Are you ready for you next gift that I told you about earlier?” Joe asked her “Yeah where is it.” She asked “go upstairs and get in the shower and I’ll be up there in a little while.” “Ok Joe I’ll be out in 15minutes.” As she runs up the stairs Joe follows behind her and goes into the room he shares with Alex and turn on the T.V. and he watches videos until he hears the shower water turn off. While she is getting ready to get out of the shower he steps in and uses the bathroom right in front of her. “Joe what are you doing “she asks him. “ I had to use the bathroom and I couldn’t wait I had to go so bad.” He tells her. “Ok but I don’t have any clothes on and you are using the bathroom while im in here are you suppose to be doing that since im not your girlfriend.” “It is ok because I’m your daddy now.” “I’m just going to ask mom when she gets home.” “Don’t ask her that because if you do than she is going to be mad because you didn’t believe me.” “Ok than I won’t ask.” Then Brianna gets her things and goes into her room she is still naked and is changing her sheet on her bed because her mom was doing laundry in the morning, when Joe walks in and now he doesn’t have on any clothes. “What are you doing in here with no clothes on.” “I came to help you and to make you fell comfortable I just took off my clothes since you didn’t put on your clothes yet but if you want me to leave then I will.” “Yes can you please leave because I don’t feel comfortable with you in here.” Joe makes it seem like he’s backing away to leave when all of a sudden he turns off the lights and grab Brianna and put her in the bed, as she is screaming he tells her to shut up and he begins to rape her. When he is done he asks her “Did you enjoy your birthday present.” And then he gets up and leaves with her laying there crying in her blood.
When she comes back to reality Monica says “Well the bell is about to ring for 8th period meet me by my car it’s in parking lot C.” “Okay I will but I don’t want to go home anytime soon, would you ask Carla to let me stay with yal for a little while. But could you please not tell her what’s going on yet because I don’t want her to call my mother.” “Ok girl you know my momma won’t mind at all if you stay over.” Monica says as she runs to class. As Monica sat through her 8th period class she couldn’t help but worry if her friend was pregnant by that rapist Joe. “Hey girl what took you so long to get here? I know you didn’t get lost.” said Monica “I’m so sick I don’t know what’s going on I was in the bathroom throwing up since I left you in the hallway.” “Damn are you ok now? Can I take you to the Hospital or something?” Monica asked shocked at what her friend just told her. “I don’t want to but I need to know what’s going on so yeah but don’t tell anyone what’s going on please.” “But what should I tell my mom when she asks where I am?” “Just tell her that we are going to the doctor for a sport’s physical or something.” “Ok that will work let’s go.”
“Brianna Jackson “said Doctor Smith as he came out of the back room. “That’s me” Brianna says as she puts her magazine down and gets up. “Do you want me to come in there with you?” Monica asks Brianna. “Yeah let’s go.” Excuse me Ms. Jackson. said the doctor. “I’m sorry here we come.” she says.
“Ok Ms. Jackson what’s going on here.” asked the doctor. “Well I haven’t been feeling well for the past 3 weeks and I was afaid to come but my friend insisted that I come.

Janie’s horizon is her life in front of her and each man has pushed her forward in some way: at the end of the book she became fully aware of what’s next in her life. The first man was the first boy she’d ever kissed. He broadened her horizon by showing her what men were useful for other than working. Even though it was only a crush she still change a lot that day on how she thought of men. I even think that’s why it seemed like she fell in love with so many men. She was getting saw use to experiencing the band between two people.
The next man to widen her horizon in a small way was the man her grandma set her up with. He showed her hard work and how to do things on her own. He showed by making her do everything he does himself every day. That was something she found later but knew how to take care of herself at the end.
The next man is the mayor who showed her something that she didn’t want to see. He showed her that they’re bad men behind the gifts and those men with money needs something to make their world perfect and she didn’t want to be that something.
Last there is tea cake the smooth talking young fellow who has a little gambling problem. Her and tea cake was good to each but wasn’t good for each other. Tea cake showed her what love really was but the price of that lesson was too great for Janie and the people of town. They knew that they shouldn’t of been together but they couldn’t do anything because it was her life. Because of that life she’s been through bad lessons and good lessons come from the men she’s been with. In the end she was blissful and at peace with herself and her life she seemed that she learned what she had to learn.

“The Struggle….”

Prologue:
I don’t really know when I was born. My father never returned from war when my mother was pregnant with me, And my mom died while having me. I grew up with my brother and sister. My brother is 1 year older than me, and my sister is two years older than him. We had to live on our own. I was sold as a slave to a white man named Robert Jr. at the age of nine years old. My brother, sister, and I were separated when I was five years old. Growing up in Mississippi was hard. I had to get up before sun rise to go pick cotton until the sun went down. By the time I turned 13, I had cuts and wipes all over my body. By the time I was fifteen, I was raped for the first time. I took it harder than you think, because I had no mother or sister to turn to, and tell me that it’s gonna be ok. I told my self that I’m gonna escape and become a free women. Well I did, but it took me nine years. I was 22 years old when Robert Jr. died and all his slaves were released. I traveled and traveled until I was free. I had a child the next year, lil old Sarah. We had to live in a shelter for three years. Once our time was up for living there, we needed to find a new destination. We final moved to Chicago in 1998. My child was almost four years old, and all ready she’s experiencing the struggle I went through. I let her understand the way life was down south at the time, and how it’s still that way. She was too young to understand everything, but she knows when some one has been treated wrong. By the time Sarah was sixteen, I had my first job. The government seen that the unemployment rate was too high, so he did something about it. Finally my struggling was over and my progress was beginning!!!!
Chapter One
“By passing my struggle”
Should I really call my childhood the struggle? Or the way of LIFE!! I mean during 1962, every body had it hard. Even the white folks. Every were round the United States, there was slavery, violence, and money problems. No body had it good. You needed to have faith in yourself, that you were gonna make it out of slavery, and the poorness. If you had that, then yo dreams came true. Really you didn’t need tha pretty car, or the big house to become successful. Once I had Sarah, my whole life changed. She made me realize that no one is gonna wait on me hand and foot. What every I wanted, I needed to take it!
I want Sarah to grow wealthy, and attend school. I never went to school when I was younger. I want my child to have the best of life! Sarah thinks that I’m happy bout the way life’s going for me. Well at least I’m happy now, but growing up. It was hard. I try to keep my real feelings inside of me, and show happiness on the out side. Don’t get me wrong now, I love Sarah, and the life I have now, but she doesn’t need to know what I’ve been through. She doesn’t need to know that I’ve been beaten, and rapped. Or the fact that I had cuts and wipes all over me from slavery and picking cotton. I felt like she was going to feel sorry for me, and keep on say “I’m sorry momma, I’m so sorry.” Like it’s her fault, and which she had nothing to do with it. But at the end of the day I forget about my past, and realize what a great future I have for myself!
Chapter Two
“The melt down”
I walk in the house and all I could hear is my mom crying and saying, “Why me lord? What did she ever do to you?” As I’m running in the house I’m screaming “What? What? What happened? Momma did we lose the apartment?” But nothing came out, she needed to catch her breath and calm down. By the time she was able to speak, she finally told me what was wrong with her. Her sister who was separated from her, died from AIDS. My mom and she were really close when my grandma had died. My mom was telling me that her life was all wrong. “I didn’t even know her dat long.” I had to calm her down. “Well at least you knew somebody. I don’t have any grandma’s, grandpas, uncles, aunties, or cousins. I don’t have any body.” Cried Sarah. “But you have me, you have me baby.”

This story takes place on Chicago’s Southside. There were three boys named Dee, Gudda, and Cheese they were part of a clique called Young Money. One day when they were coming from school they saw a boy named Maul who was a part of a different and also rival gang called Brick Squad. Dee screams out to their rival gang member “what’s up with you Maul what you trying do now”. Maul see’s the 3 guys and takes off running up the 43rd st. strip. Once Maul made it to the safe mark territory he began to slow down and he taunted and said things to the Young Money members. Chesse was real paranoid about the southside because he wasn’t from out there and the only reason that they even did travel to the southside was because Gudda had to make a run out there to get something from his girl friend’s house. After, police began to come because of the commotion many people began to move around and they headed towards the 43rd st. Green line stop so they could get on the train and head back to the city’s Westside. When they made it to the station they saw a black altima which every knew that Maul had drove around the city. He was parked outside of the liquor store letting everyone know what he had just got into with the Young Money clique. Dee said lets just walk pass low key and they wont see us so as they were walking into the station the light outside of it gae them away and maul saw them. He yelled to his goons to bust at they ass and they took off pass the guards and hopped staright over the gate to the train and then shots rang out all thru the 43rd st. quiet night. Dee and Cheese were up the stairs by the time the first 3 gat off but they couldn’t find Gudda so they were starting to get worried about what had happened to him or if he got caught by the guard . The train was pulling into the station when they saw Gudda coming up the elevator. Dee calls out yo where you was ta man stop fucking around man you trippin what if they would have got yo ass then what you would’ve did he just laughed it off and said come on dis G you talking about. G a.k.a. Gudda was a husy guy who was really cocky he stood about 5”7 and he was a very funny cat. When they got onto the train G was talking about all dis ducking and dodging got me real hungry. Cheese said we gone grab something when we get back out west but G said he wanted to get something now and he was suggesting that everyone get off on 35th and Cheese was just saying that he could wait but he wasn’t going to. When the train pulled up to 35th Dee told him that they weren’t going to get off with him and he know dis Brick Squad territory and he said he didn’t give a Fuck who’s shit this is . When the train stopped G got off and they were about to follow but they stayed on. When they reached clark and lake they tried to call his phone but he had cut it off so they figured he was upset so they jus ignored it . When they made it to the Ave. they tried callin him again and again so they just sat back and chilled for a few hours and still no call so they decided to go by G’s. While they were walking up the block they we just talking like man joe I wonder what happened with G” and why he never hit that line back.. As they were walking down the ave. they ran into Broomfield by sams and he was telling them that dem peoples was out there on harding so be cool and don’t be too hott. When they got back on harding they saw a detective’s car sitting out front of G’s house and the door was open Dee immediately ran in and Cheese right behind him when they got in they saw G’s mother brother, and sister crying as Detectives showed his mother a picture asking was this her son Gregory Hines and she just fell to the floor as she looked at the picture. Cheese asked the police what happened with G and they told them that he was shot on the city’s southside right off of 35th street by someone in an all black Altima. When the police asked them if they knew anyone who drove this type of vehicle or anyone that might want to hurt Greg they replied no. Cheese looked at Dee as if this was something they had to happen because they knew exactly who had done it. After they left their Cheese went to grab his gun and he also have gave Dee one and they hopped back on the train heading back towards the Brick Squad’s kick it spot. They made a plan to get off at 35th at first but then Cheese saw a way they could get the crew without even being touched or seen and that was 41st street stop it was located right behind their trap house. When they finally made it to the stop they were very paranoid by the time the doors opened on 41st. They could see the trap house and the black Altima that the police claim that they were on top of yeah right. When they approached the house they made sure no one saw them as they ran into the trap. When they ran in they saw Maul and some bussa at the table counting money and they were shocked to see what happen and Maul even had on the chain G was wearing earlier. He already knew why they were there and he told them they didn’t know what they were getting themselves into and if they touched him or his baby mama then it would be Hell. He went on to say that he didn’t care 2 shits about Young Money and he would never honor our group. Dee responded to him real niggas fucked with G and I don give a fuck who don’t. Then he blew his baby mama’s head clean off and Cheese asked him how did he feel after that and then shot him 2 but he shot Maul in the spine and they took off running out the back door all you heard was sirens everywhere and they made it back to the green line station safely as Maul lay there suffering never being able to walk again and his first born killed and baby mama and now he has to live with the same pain and nobody wins in this battle for Big “G”

Janies Self Awareness
It is important to all the world that Janie found other people. They ifnd her because Janie self awareness depends on her increased awareness of others. Janie wants to know more about herself, co she makes the decision to talk to others about diffrent things. She wants to see who she is and who she wants to be. Self awareness? Which is what Janie uses throughout the book as she talks to others ans her bestfriend Pheoby. She listens to their comments, and negativity then looks at herself and see what she does diffrent from others. Ex.When she gets married to Logan Killicks later on down the line she starts to realize that their relationship isn't so good. She realizes that she wants to be free, self awareness she has at times she doubts herself, confused about what she wants and who she will like to be. So therefore it is important that Janie finds out who she is and who she wants to be. Janie has to get the wordness of others before she gets the wordness of herself.

It is important to all the world that Janie should find them and they find her because although
she may be different from others, the more she talks with others the more she finds out abouts
herself from communicating about the things they have in common. It is important to Janie because
she can find many new opportunities, a better life and a great change.Janie's appearance for new
opportunities can be a lot different from a lot of people around her and it can be a good thing because
she can find some new for herself and Janie can new to someone else. It can be a new change in her
life because she can bring something new to the table for a new life. Finding new friends and starting
a new life in a different area can help you be a better person. When you talk with others you can learn
more about yourself in good and bad ways. You and other people may have a lot in common.—Shakira Harris

It is important to all the world that Janie go out and find people because she brought greatness and happiness to the people; Janie self awareness depends on her increase awareness of others because the more she learned and saw about others the more she learned and wanted to learn about herself. Janie also found out how different she was from others.
Janie was no longer being controlled and she no longer had someone living her life for her, she was finally independent and got herself together. Janie went on a journey to find the horizon. After her findings Janie became more active, happier, and friendlier, she also expressed herself more and no longer wore a scarf she let her hair down and became a new person. The people there had respect for Janie and were proud of her.
--Dekeira McGee
The importance of the horizon represents new opportunities, for Janie as well as her men who brought new opportunities; the significance of the final sentence shows that she had a lot of opportunities in her relationships, but it was all crushed after a while. The horizon represented new opportunities. For example when her nanny died she said she hated nanny because she didn’t want to marry Logan Killicks. But when nanny died she started marrying people that she wanted to marry. When Janie got married to Logan Killicks the opportunity that he brought to the table was to take care of her and make sure that she doesn’t want for nothing else, by taking care of her. But Janie felt like she was being pushed around because Logan would make her do hard labor. Janie’s second husband Joe Starks told her that she would never have to do no work again for the rest of her life, because he had a goal set out for their marriage. But as their married life went on she realized that Jody only wanted her for her beauty, and how much attention that would bring him to make him popular. Janie’s third husband Teacake was only about love with her. Also he made sure that it wasn’t about money or anything with their marriage and that he would always love her. But as things were going good it started to go bad because Teacake he caught rabbis’ from a rabid dog and he started to go insane. So Janie had shot him because he was about to kill her. Things were crushed after awhile with Janie because every time she was able to get a new opportunity or the opportunity was giving to her it always went bad. So she was never able to keep those opportunities.—Theo Livingston
Now that Joe Starks is gone Janie finally realizes that it is important for her to show everyone who she really is deep inside, which builds up her self esteem. Janie’s self awareness depend on her increased awareness of others, for example the more she gets to know someone, the more she is finding stuff about herself. So when Joe Starks past away, Janie was determining to open up to everyone, showing her hair, letting it down and give that inner beauty of her that Joe Starks Stop her from doing because she was a mayor’s wife and she should look different, from the other women in the town.

TEWWG!!
Janie fully acquires control of her life by speaking up for herself and getting respect by telling phoeby the story instead of telling it directly to the reader, it does take away from the idea she acquires her own voice, by janie not speaking up and not staying she. she doesn't let people control her life and speak up for her. The most important thing to janie is her happiness and she doesn't let any one come between that. janie chooses her own future and path for herself, she doesn't what people think only what she thinks about herself. When janie tells phoeby the story she wouldn't leave out details because she wants her bestfriend to know how she feels and get her compeletly but would be different from telling a reader because she doesn't know them and its hard telling a stranger your life and experiences you went threw.

The Eyes Were Watching God
The importance of the concept of the horizon was life and new opportunities. Each man widens her horizon because her life seems more complete with each man she got, and the significance of the novel is more doors opened for her. Janie life was based on becoming a woman, the mens in her life. Overtime her horizon disappeared when her backbone died, her nanny. Her husbands, Logan that her nanny wanted her to be with him for support, Joe the mayor and Teacake the young boyfriend. Being caught in jealously, lust, trust, and being a trophy wife. Sometimes her horizon came back up when she went from wearing nothing but overalls to being praise wearing fancy dresses and pearls. In addition, her being able to wear her hair down freely while with teacake, who was a younger man he was an adventurous person. Logan, the older man who could support her finically but not love. Joe, who wanted Janie to wear her hair up & her to be just like a trophy just to show her off. Her whole life she has been climbing a mountain, it wasn’t always easy to reach the climax where there was happiness. The point of the ending in this story is love isn’t always easy but at the end more doors can open up for you.

Game Review
The following games are the most popular games among teens and around uplift.
Madden 2010, NCAA Football 2010, NBA 2k10 and NBA live 10.
First of all, if you have never played a madden game in your life; you need to get one. The graphics are way better than years past and the game deserves at least a solid 9. There are just so many major improvements than the years past. The difficulty gameplay and realism makes this one, just a few of the best game to ever come out. Fitzgerald and Polamalu make the game way better. The dynasty mode is way better than ever. You just have to pick up a copy of Madden 2010 before it too late. Now to NCAA Football 2010, the game is scary, it way advanced than ever. The hit stick is like the one in madden and it like a combination of fast pace game with the toughness of madden defense and techniques. The only bad part is that the players have no names and you have to auto name the roster. The playbooks are unbelievable; you have Alabama running the wildcat with mark Ingram and Boise state with the statue of liberty play and Oregon running their offense with Masoli and the defense stepping up and shutting opponents down. The road to glory mode is so cool, having the chance to start as a high senior to when you get admitted into a national powerhouse to winning the heisman and playing for the championship; also having the opportunity to opt out of the NFL draft and becoming the coach. The dynasty mode is astonishing, taking a weak team like Stanford or Oregon State to national powerhouse. NBA 2K10 is an excellent basketball game that does many things very, very well. Kobe is on the cover, he is the best player in the NBA right now and always in competition for a championship. The biggest addition to this year's game is easily its best feature: My Player lets you create yourself then puts you on the road to becoming an NBA star. You start off in the summer league, continue on to training camp, and then take a trip to the NBA's development league, where you must prove that you're ready for the big time; it's a long, but ultimately satisfying, grind. My Player mode is an excellent addition, but it's not without its flaws. Your player improves gradually. And the game penalizes you for seemingly insignificant things, like when your opponent scores on a fast break, but you don't hustle down the court fast enough, or for being out of position. During a regular season game, the announcers will reference current statistics and even what happened in previous meetings between two teams, a feature that also extends to My Player. The graphics make the players look realer than ever and the gameplay, environment and the updates make this one of the best basketball games ever. NBA Live 10 has Dynamic DNA seasons are a great addition to the franchise, but NBA Live is not quite a championship contender. The best part of NBA Live 10 is play along with the current NBA season from the comfort of your living room. Lives’ Dynamic DNA makes the players play the way they play in real life. The game is almost like NCAA Basketball; you run the play from your team playbook. It feels like you are playing with a fake ball. Despite a few faults, NBA Live 10 is a fun game and a strong addition to the franchise.

Why You SHould Not Fall In lOve
Love is actually Insanity… There is a thin line between love and craziness. When people fall in love it’s highly possible that they are going to break up, and when you lose the person you love. It can be very hard. Some people shut down and some resort to violence. It’s highly possible that you can fall in love, lose that person and it doesn’t have a negative effect on you. So when your young and your in a relationship you need to accept the fact that you guys aren’t going to be together forever. It’s going to end eventually. Why suffer the heartbreak? Why put yourself through that? That’s why it’s better to just save you the sorrow and avoid falling in love. Most children are not mature enough to handle some ones heart or mind, and ? ? young ? both can be very sensitive. Most don’t even know what love is, they just want to claim it to appeal to other people or because they think they know. Everything eventually ends, but why get hurt when you can avoid the pain? The best thing to do is waiting until your old enough to understand life, when you’re really in love that person wont make you feel bad… That’s when you’re in love. Trust me
Sonnet
Why does this world consist of this?
Why is there violence in the world now?
Why is so many people pissed?
The hate needs to die down.
Why do people gang bang?
Kids steady dying.
Why people do people say, “I got to go get that thang”?
People are always lying.
Some things just need to be dead and gone.
Why are so many people dead?
Why does things we do go so wrong.
Because they was making that bread?
We need to become as one.
So let the job be done.

What’s you’re favorite quote?
Well I have my own “They say practice makes you perfect but then they say nobody is perfect”
When did you fall in love with basketball?
I love basketball. I knew I loved basketball when I was seven, because I had a thing for Sheryl swoops. She splayed for the comets. My dad bought me her jersey, but it had her name on the back.
Why do you love basketball?
I love basketball because it teaches life lessons and it makes you stronger, not just on the court and in life lesson. It also teaches you how to make smart decisions because when you’re on the court you need to weather you’re going all the to the basket or if you’re going to pass the ball.
What was you’re best game this year?
My best game this year was when I had 21 points and six assist while playing against Senn and I was in the news paper.
What’s the best advice you would give any young girl basketball player?
The advice I would give to any younger girl basketball player would be kind of hard for me because I not really to the point I need to be but I would say to have a lot of confidence and even if you cant do something just keep telling you’re self that you can.

YOU SHOULD FALL IN LOVE
YOU SHOULD BE IN LOVE
LOVE IS EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD. YOU MIGHT NOT BE IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER PERSON, BUT YOU DO LOVE SOMETHING IN THIS WORLD. YOU LOVE YOUR PARENTS, YOUR PET, YOURSELF, YOUR FAMILY, AND ANYTHING ELSE YOU LOVE AND CARE ABOUT. WHEN PEOPLE FALL IN LOVE, THEY FEEL THAT THE OTHER PERSON IS THEIR SOULMATE OR THAT GOD PUT THEM ON EARTH JUST FOR THEM. WHEN FEMALES GET THEIR HEART BROKEN OR CHEATED ON, THEY BECOME DEPRESSED, LONELY, AND THEY FEEL LIKE IT WAS THEIR FAULT THAT THEIR RELATIONSHIP DIDN’T WORK OUT. WHEN MALES GET THEIR HEART BROKEN, THEY EITHER FEEL THE SAME WAY THE FEMALES DO, OR THEY FORGET ABOUT IT AND GET A NEW GIRL. PEOPLE GET INTO RELATIONSHIPS FOR A SENSE THAT THEY ARE LOVED, WANTED, AND NEEDED. OTHER PEOPLE JUST WANT TO GET A SEXY FEMALE, OR A SEXY MALE, SO THAT THEY CAN SHOW THEM OFF TO THEIR FRIENDS AND PROUDLY SAY THAT THEY GOT A SEXY PERSON. WHAT THESE PEOPLE EITHER DON’T KNOW, OR DON’T CARE, IS THAT PEOPLE WHO WEREN’T BLESSED WITH GOOD LOOKS, LOOK UP TO THEM AS THEIR HEROES. THEY BELIEVE THAT SINCE UGLY PEOPLE COULD GET BUETIFUL PEOPLE, THEN IN THEIR MINDS, THEY COULD GET ANY PERSON THEY WANT IF THEY JUST BE THEMSELVES AND PUT THEIR MINDS INTO IT.

Short Story
It depressed her the way her mother sat in the light of the computer all day. Why was her sister so embarrassing? I hated my sister she was always the one in the light. Me and my twin Tina we were totally different people. By the way my name is Tiara. She was the popular girl in school. While I was her shadow she thought that she was all that but everyone talked about her behind her back. The rumors that were going around the school about my sister were shameful. I didn’t believe them I use to stick up for her all the time until I saw the proof. James Parkins was one on the cool kids in school he was having a party. All of the cool kids were going including my sister. I knew she was going to drag me along because every party she went to she got messed and I would have to drive her home. At the party there were a lot of drugs and drinks. They had every drug and drink you can think of. My sister was trying everyone. I left because I couldn’t look at her any more so I left. When I left she did some thing with the football team and they taped it. It was all over the school. My mother had to transfer her out of the school. I stayed I didn’t really care what they was saying because I am not the other twin.

The Goodfellas
The Pope from the catholic church, Jay Z, George Bush senior, Louis Farrakhan, and Mark Parker the ceo of Nike all share something in common. We are the people who put them in the position that they are in. But me specifically, we all start seeking the light and then turn it off because its night time, I haven’t found the light yet but it lives in me and it’s ready to come out and explore the Seven Wonders of the World. So we all have the same background and others that are closer to these men can tell you that the light has been on earth all the time that’s why I consider my self Don Of The Morning. People in society of a higher rank acknowledge me because I am eighteen years old and I m on my way to becoming part of the next generation. Most started when they were thirty years old so I get recognized a lot by many. So when I m thirty I would be more advance than most. I know you are probably asking your selves what the hell am I talking about. Just think of me as a shadow behind a shadow next time when you step foot at Macys, McDonalds’, Nike Store, Adidas, CBS, Paramount, any major successful corporation because we all represent the light.
The Blindside Movie Review
Man The Blindside was a great movie!!! I really like how the whole story was true. In case you haven’t seen the movie, it’s a drama about a white woman who adopts an African-American boy who was taken away from his drug addicted mother at a very young age. The woman who Mrs. Touhy ( the women who adopted him) was Sandra Bullock. Mrs. Touhy is a women known for her help in the community, so when she told her friends about Michael Oher they thought that she should be scared because he is a big black boy and her daughter was a freshman in high school. Oher works hard and, with the help of his coaches and the Touhys, he became an all American playing as offensive left tackle.

Lover is...
Love is when you feel the need for happiness in your life. Love is when you commit yourself to something or someone in the deepest manner. Love is when you cannot control your heart over a person or a thing. When you are in love with someone, you feel the need for them all the time when you are sad, confused, or lonely. When you are in love, you can never imagine a better future with someone else. Love is a great feeling that can only end with sadness. Love is something deep that is hard to get out of.

And now we’re becoming something

The True Perspective
The white men want to make us look like rebels
but under that smile they know they're bunch of devils.
All these years they think we are so trickable
but really they're just despicable
taken the men of islam from their pillars
knowing they're the real serial killers
Making forners work these petty jobs to make their
lives look like a filler
They've been hurting our community
and breaking our unity
until they gained a certain point of immunity
All the brothas and sistas out there had their preperation
to recieve the offical reperation
how about we enslave your people and mislead em
And show them how it feels to have no freedom
like Malcom X siad "Just because a cat has a kitten in an oven doesn't make it biscuit"
So what you did was rape out women and turned our babies into triscuits
bunch of hippocrats if we were even to do such a thing such as sang
you would bring out the ropes and made sure we were hanged
I hope this was effective
this was my perspective of the white mans objective
but under that smile they know they're bunch of devils.

what kind of Gods eyes of Hurstons characters watching???
The kind of God eyes of Hurstin character watching where her husbands, Which she love, but passed away, leaving her wondering why is this happening.
Hurstons husbands were the God who were watching her. The names of her Gods are Joe S.,and Tea C. Each husband she had they marriage ended an a sad way.Joe had die by having kidney problems. Tea C. pass way when Janie shot him. She love them very much. Now they are in the Heavens with God watching over her.
She felt the nature of love because she love each one of her husbands. Even though Logan didnt die she still loved him to. She feel the nature of the Gods because even though they are not here they still love her and guiding her through her life.
She started question God wondering why is this happening to her. she felt like it was all her felt because of there death and why Logan left her. She started to feel bad about her felt and couldnt put the pieces together on why things happen the way they did.

Noe Gil's perspective on janie's life
The horizon is Janie’s goal and it widens as she notices that she gets held back by men, but she notices that she has taken the wrong track to her horizon as she “dies.” For example, in the beginning of the book it states that there were ships in the horizon that carry wishes, but some people get them as the ships reach the shore. The horizon widens as she gets held back by men because men don’t help her but put more ships in her horizon. In the last paragraph, it talks about how she brought up all her feelings and thoughts to figure out what she did wrong. As she did so, “she called out her soul to come and see.” In order for her to die peacefully, she wanted to acknowledge what she did wrong that she couldn’t reach her horizon.
my essay
Janie started taking a little control of her life because she started asking for what she want and she got what she want;I think that the way janie told the story to pheoby show that janie didn’t take full control of her life.

The TEWWGEQ Essay
The characters were watching the sky and the sun as the view of god. The God was bright and it made them feel calm and happy. Also, the characters in the story were thinking about the purpose and response from god. The God was the sign of the sky having peace, and the sun was the sign of making things look better. The God was the symbol of shaping Janie's good and bad days of her life with the relationship with her men. Hurston's Characters were questioning god,by thinking about the purpose and response from god.Janie questions god to find the truth about how things can be good and bad with her men. The questions she ask in her minds is''What good things make my men happy?''. Another question she ask in her mind is'' What bad things disturb my men, when things go wrong,Why I'am like the enemy?''

Hero of TRANCE
It is a dark night in the city of Trance. Dawn arrives, and midnight follows behind. Rain drops are pooring down rapidly. Down a dark alley way a black cat runs beneath a garbage can. It had the pearly essence of lime green gleaming eyes, and its fur is dark as coal. It stanced still there in suspense, licking its paws. The cat jumped onto a window stall. It looked inside the open apartment window. The cat jumped inside of the apartment, and landed lightly on the floor just as a feather would land. It saw a wooden cupboard that was painted black. The cat scampered its way over to the blackc upboard. It was open. The black cat took a peak inside very slowly, and saw a black leather trench coat in amazement. The coat was 100% pure leather. The cat blinked for a few seconds, and started licking its paws once again. Just at that oment it turned around swiftly, and glanced upwards staring blankly. The cat saw a tall medium sized figure which was concealed in the dark. TO BE CONTINUED.........
the god of hurstons eyes.....
the kind of god that Hurston's character was watching s the god of love. who has a caring heart; Janie does begin to question god because everytime she falls for someone it starts off good but ends up bad. Hurston's character was being watched by the god of love because janie has a sensitive heart, she puts other people needs instead of hers first, and she wants to be loved. janie begins questioning god because all of her husbands she married start off treating her like a queen but once they really get in to the relationship and opening up her husbands begin showing their real colors. her first husband logan killocks was rich and had massive amounts of land and was the single bachelor in town. her grandmother kept pushing her to marry him and she knew something was wrong if she was marrying him for money instead of love but she did it any way. down the relationship everything turned bad he was old and heis heart wasn't were she wanted it to be. joe starks her second husband was just like the first but she felt a connection to him which was strange but asa she was falling in love joe was falling for jealousy. he became possive wanting her to wrap her hair up, don't speak unless spokem to,and act like a classy woman. joe fell ill and she in a way she felt bad but she knew once he was gone she would have her freedom back. teacake won her over, her thrid husband. of course she had problems trusting him why would'nt she? everytime she opened up to a man and tried to be a wife over and over agian but still got her heart crushed. janie questioned the god of love because out of all three husbands why was this happening to her? why couldn't she find love? why did it feel like every man she ever tried to love broke her heart? janie just wanted to be cared for, taken care of,loved, and nourished but because of all her rough journeys she failed to do so.
janie's life
Janies focuse was to get to the horizon, which held many opportunities for her, and each man she was with brought her closer to them, but at the end of the novel she relize that many of those men held her back.
The horizon reprsents the far-off mystery of the natural world with which she longed to connect to.the horizon was like the opportunities in janies life because she was aware of them, but every time she tried to get them there was something standing in her way. janie could of been very successful in life if she would of been more independent, she could have been known for more than just being someones wife. just like the horizon it was hard for janie to reconize the opportunities she had, and when she did start to see them, it seemed too, late.
Janie and each of her men widened her horizon because each relationship made her a better person. she learned something from every relationship, they showed her the raelity of how life really was. her relationship made her a stronger women, she learned how to stand on her own.
Through janies whole life, she never really got to make decisions for herself. she didnt pick her first husband, because her grandma made her marry someone who she thought was best for janie. she didnt get to pursue anything she wanted to do, because her husbands had her doing what they felt women should be doing. she always had to clean up around the house, work in a store, or cook. if janie would of been able to control her own life, she could of been a more happier person, and she wouldnt of aged like she did.

The god of hurstons eyes
The god that hurston eyes were watching were the god of all her husbands she had because the god was her husband. The god didnt want to see janie to be with tea cake specialy if janie was living happy with tea cake. The god wanted to break janie and tea cake apart becasue janie was meant to be lonely for the rest of her life because janie didnt love her 1st and 2nd husband so the god wich is her husband he dosent want to see janie living happy with no one specialy with tea cake bacuse tea cake is the love of janies life.
The god was mean because he took tea cake, the love of janies life away from her. that god didnt want janie and tea cake to be together becase god gave logan her 1st husband and he died and then joey her 2nd husband and he died to so that explains that she cant handle being a good wife. Thats the reson god is mean to janie.
Thats why janie question god why did she took the love of her life away from her when she was living happy with tea cake ....

janie finding herself
After Joe’s death Janie feels that she can now be herself and show others and herself that she is worth more than the widow of the mayor and this helps her bring up her self esteem from being put down by Joe. It is important for the entire world to find Janie so that they can know that she is smarter than Joe made her out to be and that she is capable of living her life without a man controlling her. She also wants people to see her as a nice and friendly person and not stuck up like they thought she was because Joe wouldn’t let her talk to them and it made her seem like Janie and Joe thought she was better than the rest. By doing this and talking more with people it can help her learn more about herself which she never had a good chance to do because of her marrying to at as young age and never being able to enjoy her life and find herself because basically she grew up to fast. She never got a chance to live out her life like others were able to do.
Eyes Were Watching God
Janie starts her journey in West Florida with her grandmother and her working for their white emploeyrs. She isn't to dependent of herself untl after her first marriage ends when she decides to escape her wealthy black husband. She meets ambitious Joe Starks; this is where her journey advances a great deal, for he takes her to the small town of Eatonville. His sucess led to his abusing her, physically and mentally. He discourages al her ambitions and the ideas she had. Unable to free her mind shew spite to her husband, even until after he died. She assumed his position and became owner of the town's store. Her independence altered her journey and her ability to speak. She even refused patron bachelors who wantedto be with her, which she rejected because of them being potentially strict and too not allow her to free her mind like her ex-husband.
She later meets tea cake. Amongst the crowd of future potential condidates for her love, he's the only one who seems to respect her and does not want to trap her her from herself and her brain. He shares her ambitions, and she enjoys his company. He even offers to teach her chess, which was something no one had offered to her because of being a woman. She knew that she could be independent and still be in love. They travel to southern Florida and eventually reach the everglades. There, they wed and join a group of people living along the shores. With their bondages, he yet ties her down, and is even reduced to beating her. They later reconcile and he still allows her to be a consultant of the conditions in which they are living in.
Unlike her first two spouses, and the cluttered town they occupied whislt with them; each town contributed to each others gossip. Something that didn't let her be dependand of herself. By the end of the book, she persues her jurney back to Eatonville more independant than ever. Each of the towns have their number of tradiotial black cultures. When Janie is born into her grandmothers custody, they're no black people inspired to live their lives customarily (according to their norms) because of sharing their community with other white people in West Florida. Here, Janie's independence is very limited, even badly influenced by her grandmother who pushed Janie to marry someone she isn't in love with. By the end she's alone and allowed to do whichever pleases her, whilst travelting through Florida.

Adherence So Special As This One{There Eyes Are Watching God
Adherence to receive tradition is important
to the people in the community because people will
treat you well when you fit in, and when you dont fit in
you get treated badly.
It is important to janie because she deals joe
mess so she could be with him and if she dont she will
get treated bad. When janie was in the store she was
talking to someone on the porch and joe seen her he was yelling
at her demanding her to work and she did as she was told.
Also when Joe told Janie to tie up her hair because
he didnt want other men looking at her. Joe was inscure about him self
because he was getting old and he wanted Janie to get old with
him. Thats why it was so important to Janie because she wanted to get
treated well.

Eyes are the watching God

From generations to generations we have been taught ways to live our life, but when we break those traditions we get treated differently in our communities. Like in the book The Eyes Are Watching God the character Janie got treated differently after her Nanny died. When Janie was living with her grandmother raised her to be respectful, grateful and helpful and that’s how her community viewed her. But when her Nanny passed she started to live her own life. Like when Janie’s second husband Joe Starks died in 9 months later she started falling for another man named Tea Cake. People thought she should wait longer before getting in another relationship. People also thought she was happy that Joe died because of the way she was behaving. So in her community the town’s people would talk about her, but Janie didn’t care what the people thought of her; she was living her life. My grandmother was raised to do your homework before watching television, but I do the opposite I watch television and listen to music while doing my homework. My grandmother point of view is that im not learning anything. She thinks her way is better. But just because my way is differently doesn’t mean it’s the wrong way.

The essay of the book
The kind of god Hurston’s character are watching is the god of love whom they have an unstable relationship with; Janie’s husband have doubts about god because at the end is bad. And Janie is the god of love because she wants to love to have that feeling of love to the special someone. The reason the relationship with love is unstable is because Janie relationship start off good and then end up bad. Take for example in the beginning off the story she dated a old man call Logan. She wasn’t happy because of her grandmother. Her grandmother told her to date Logan because he had money and acres of land But Janie wanted love. Her grandmothers said forget about love and to date a man for his money. Janie said she love her second husband Jody because everything was going good but the more she fell in love the more her husband disrespected her. She stuck with her husband until he died, but the love she had was a disrespectful love. They behaved like love birds at first, and then at the end of their relationship they exchanged hurtful words. Then Janie loved her last husband teacake at first sight because of his looks; he loved her too. Janie’s relationship was good at first, then when she fell deeper in love they was get bad. It was good because Janie and teacake was playing games and teacake taught Janie how to shoot and play checkers. Then at the end he starts acting kind of crazy. He kept touching her hair and stealing her money, but she was still in love. So when teacake got attacked by a dog and got rabies, she loved him so much she had to kill him. Janie husbands question the god of love because they use her for her looks and money.

The word horizon represents new opportunities. Each one of Janie’s husbands gave her a new opportunity to be free and become a better person. The significance of the novels final sentences is. That she was trying to widen her horizon by living her life and becoming free. In the story Janie stated the horizon meant a new opportunity.
Tradition To Live By
In life we have certain traditions to live by and when you choose not to follow you are treated differently by being talked about behind their back.
In the book, Janie was treated differently after her husband died because she started dating Tea Cake. Tea Cake was way younger than Janie and the town of Eatonville just thinks he’s after her money. Janie was adventurous and wanted to try new things and the whole town went by a certain tradition that she didn’t want to take no part of, so she was treated differently from others…

the new opporuntiy
The horizon is like a new opportunity and each men that she was with gave her a different opportunity in her life; in the last novel the new opportunity gave her a new feeling in her soul that she will come soon to see with a better life and new changes. The importance of the horizon is a new opportunity that you get in your life with a better feeling. Each of the men Janie been with widen her horizons. Because tea cake gave her love. Logan took care of her even though she wasn’t happy. And Joe was a mayor who had money and he kind of spoiled Janie. But Joe kind of made Janie as a show off wife her treated her like a trophy. The significance of the novel final sentences in this regard it lets us know that Janie will have a new opportunity with a new changes. She will come soon to see as she moves on in life. All the things that has passed is gone its time to move on to a better life and a happy new feeling.
My view on the book
The horizon represented new opportunities and each man that she was with opened up doors and helped her with different challenges; the significance of the last paragraph show that she is going to show in a positive way how her opportunities changed her. In the book Janie said that horizon was new opportunities. That means that when someone puts a new thing in front of her she will either take it or leave it. Most of the time she would take the chance. Each man she was with opened doors and helped her with challenges. The first man she was with Logan killicks showed her that love wasn’t in every relationship. The second man she was with Joe Starks the mayor had a lot of money and opened up a store. That marriage showed that money can change a person that you think you and they really don’t. And the last man that she was withTea Cake showed her what love is and how money doesn’t show love it’s the felling in the heart. In that last paragraph Janie talks about her horizons and how she is going to take them off her waist and put them on her shoulders. She will show people how the opportunities in her life helped her change as a person into an INDEPENDENT woman.
their eyes were watching god
Hurston's characters are watching a bad god who always put janie in a bad case with men; No one
anything
The eyes of Hurston’s characters are watching a hurtful but trusted god that people questioned. The god Hurston characters are watching is hurtful it brought a lot of pain into people lives especially Janie. The death of her grandma and the no good men god brought in and out her life, to tea cake stealing her money, to the death of both of her husbands after all the bad things that god did, Janie still trusted him enough that every time a man came in her life she trusted god to let him be the one. Janie questioned god every time something bad happened in her life.
The love god
The kind of god that Hurston’s characters are watching is a love god. Janie was with 3 men because she was trying to find love; Janie was watching the love god and she began to question because of the outcome of her relationships. Janie’s first relationship didn’t work out because she was forced to marry Logan Killicks because of the money and land he had, not out of love. Janie hoped and believed that sooner or later she would fall in love with Logan but it didn’t happen. Once Janie was no longer forced to be with Logan after her grandma died, she left Logan and never turned back. Janie’s next husband was named Joe Starks and Janie thought she had found the right man, but eventually Joe began change and act differently towards her, breaking his promise to treat her good and with respect. Joe unfortunately dies from a kidney failure, so Janie was left on her own to search for love again. One day a man named Teacake came along Janie’s path and they had an instant attraction. Teacake amused Janie all the time, he taught her how to play checkers, and they just enjoyed spending time with each other. Janie and Teacake eventually married, moved to a different town, and they went through a lot of things while they were together. Teacake became sick from rabies so he died and Janie went back to her old town. Janie had experienced many different things being with each man, but being with Teacake had shown her real love, So Janie didn’t have to look for love anymore. The god of love had taken Janie through many obstacles and Janie began to wonder if love was ever for her because they were in all the wrong places, but the love god was kind to bring her Teacake. Janie and Teacake didn’t have a lot of time to be with each other because of his death but Jane was still happy.
Essay
Adherence is an important part in janie's world and those who are different are outcast. Adherence is an important tridition that all of the people in her life go by and their parents went by. So when somebody do something thats out of order it become misunderstood. This is what they know and live by and change is not normal.

the importance of the concept of the horizo represents dreams and each of janies husbands expanded her dreams in many different ways; the novels final sentences are significant because it shows that she accomplished her dreams. the horizon represents her dreams because in the begginningit says that men wait for their dreams to come to them, whereas women actually go out their and find their dreams. this is exactly what janie did. janies first husband, logan killicks, helped expand her dream because he was her 1st husband.

question 4
Janie fully acquires her own voice and shapes her own life by making other people respect her; when Janie tells pheoby her story in flashback it undermines her ability to tell directly in her own voice.
Janie when to the fullest extent to acquire her own voice when she spoke up against Jody. when she did spoke up she had gotten embarrassed. after Jody died Janie met tea cake when she left with him to the muck she had gotten her own voice for the first time. a voice is a key point to shape your own life. for Janie both are the same without one your life wouldn't be the way you want it to be. when Janie tells pheoby her story in flashback it undermines her ability to tell her directly in her own voice.

janie's story
janie was able to fully require her voice and shape her life by gaining respect threw her actions telling phoebe the story in a flashback from janie's past and not her story directly in her own voice does actually take way from the story she had the ability to use her own voice which is realated to shaping her life an telling the her story to pheobe the way she experience it is diffrent from her telling the story to pheobe then a reading actually reading her story it changes the mood and the tone because the reader will feel a different way such as if janie tell them the story personally or face to face she will capture the reader emotions but if her story was read they would not be able to understand it or will not feel the same way janie felt
Janie (Bobby Light)
Janie fully acquires her voice by finding out more about herself and reflecting on her past to make sure she doesn’t make the same mistake in the future. She is shaping her life by making sure it turns out for the better for her. She learns about how her past husbands treated her badly together and with other people. When it happened Janie just kind of froze up and didn’t want to date anyone, but when she got with tea cake she gains her real freedom. She slowly gains her freedom when her old husband died but when tea cake came around that’s really when her life turned around for her. When Janie acquires her own voice by finding out more about herself she could shape a better future. Janie's tell her story to Pheoby in a flashback doesn’t undermine her ability to tell her directly because if she remembers her past well enough to tell it to her in a flashback it shouldn’t be hard for her to tell it directly to her.
