In the Wife of baths tale and the Reeves tale they were not very friendly toward women. The women in those days were treated as unequals, they were treated like they were at the bottom of societies ladder.The men were the leader of the household and the bread winner in the family. The women were house tools. All they were good for is to cook and clean.
In the wife of baths tale the Friars were mean to the women. They treated the women like play toys and they got anything they wanted from them. in this tale they liked to rape women, the Friar is the main one that rapes people. The women were seen as just a sex figure they didn't really care about the women. They just wanted someone to lay with and to satisfy their need for that moment, then after that they will move on to another girl.
In the reeves tale they were actualluy a little nicer to the females. the Woman wasd treated with respect by a nicer male. the male wanted to be her one true love and they wanted to be together but it could not happen. The roles actually reversed when the female was in control of the process if the man having sex with the woman. The man was in love with her and she took advantage of the man, he wanted to kiss her and she leaned out the window and made him kiss her butt. The man wanted revenge so when they did that the third time he took the poker and branded the other mans butt.
