compare and contrast Merchants Tale and the Wife of Bath.....

People do alot of crazy things to find love and someone that would stay true and will always be honest. In the novel canterbury Tales, there was alot of love stories and people fighting for other people love. The two stories that i liked the most were the merchant's tale and the wife of bath's tale. I liked these stories the most because the people had to go though a lot of things to find love. One person in the story had love choose for him becuause he was doing the wrong things to women that he met.

the first story is the merchant's tale, In the merchant's tale this older man was looking for a young lady that would make him happy till he is on his death bed. So the man went around the world looking for a pretty lady to make his wife. when he finally found the woman for him , he married her the first chance that he got. as their lifes went on , they were not that happy with each other but it was mainly the lady who was unhappy.

Then there was this young man that worked as a servant for the king that fell in love with the young woman and she fell for him too.so the king had a garden that the two young people met everyday, they also would pass serect love notes to each other the best way they could. So they start falling in love with each other and they wanted to mate with each other. the young lady didn't enjoy mating with her husband because he was much older than she was.the story went bad when the king went blind and had to depend on his wife to take him every thing. So the young lady took the key from the king and gave it to the young man so that he could make a another one and met her in the garden when both her and her husband came into the garden.

So the young man went in to the garden and a little while later he king and his wife came into the garden. so the young woman told her husband to wait by the tree and she would be right back to get him. so the young man and young woman climbed into a tree and started to have sex. then the king could see again and he saw his wife in the tree have sex with the man that worked for him. so the king told the woman to come down and she said that she was doing this for him to make him see once again. so the king forgot about what happened and the young woman and king lived happly ever after.

the second story is about this knight that was going around raping women for the fun of of it. so one day the queen had sended for him. so the queen was talking to him about what he was doing and the way he was doing women was really wrong. so she told him that she didnt like what he was doing and that he had to find out what women really want from women. so the knight travel around a whole bunch of towns asking people what women really want from a man. so after getting a whole lot a different answers from people , he came upon these women having fun with these woods then he went up to them. Little did he know was that there just one magic old woman that he saw. He asked her what did women want from a man and she told him her answer. so the knight went back to the queen and told her his answer. the queen had gave the knight his life but he had to marry the woman that he met in the woods. so he married the old woman as told and them lived happly ever after.
