Rhythm and Blues or better known as R&B. R&B has been around for many years. It started with artist such as James brown, Nat King Cole, and a current R&B legend Ronald Isley A.k.A Mr. Big. Now there are a few artist who keep the tradition going such as R. Kelly, Mary J. Blige, and Musiq Soul Child. Most people didn’t know that R&B has three types of styles. They had Chicago style, Motown Sound, and Southern soul. The 1970’s through the 1980’s was the time period the music style exploded. Artist like James Brown who revolutionized the style of R&B, helped it really become what it is today.
