In The Beginning


The earth is a flat dry surface with no light. On the land of Brii, there lived these five humans who could hear, smell, taste, and touch but could not see only because there was no light. They knew there were other people on the land, they could feel it, but they just couldn’t see them. But because they felt their presence, they were aware of them. That is how the senses were created.
One day, the humans decided to go on a search for other humans. But one of the humans said, “Well how will we know where we are going? It is too dark, we cannot see anything”. The others agreed in disappointment. One human mumbled under his breath and scrapped his foot against the dry land. As he did that, he heard a female voice say, “wait, do that again”.
“do what?” he says.
“that thing you just did with your foot” she said.
“what, this?” he said as he struck his foot against the ground again and a big flame swarmed into the air, filing the whole sky with light. The fire formed a big circular shape and rose higher and higher until it was too high to reach and too high for anyone to put out. Everyone looked around and saw all of the others. Everyone was in shock for a moment, but shortly after that, all of the people on the land of Brii jumped around and rejoiced in the beautiful. The woman looked at the young boy and said, “my son, you have created something that people will remember and find useful for as long as this earth stands”. That is how the sun was created.
