Like always she woke up to her mother yelling to her younger brother’s and sister. She stayed in the projects, a three bed room apartment that was the size of a box. Luckily since Kiana was the oldest she got her own room. Kiana was a seven teen year honor student who stood about 5”5, car skin, with long hair all down her back. Around her peers she would act like she had it made but she really struggled. It was hard for her to keep her household together and stay focused on school at the same time. Her mother was on drugs and she didn’t even know her father. Kiana got all of her dreams and goals in her books. She felt like if she could get a scholarship to a school then that would be her way to not live that type of lifestyle anymore. The only person that understood Kiana was her best friend Iyani. Her problems were so similar to Kiana’s, they could write a book together. Iyani was a dark chocolate girl, with hair that feel to her shoulders, that stood about 5”3. She too didn’t know her father.
