Today in our society things have turned for the worst. There seems to be no protection from the devastating actions from our peers. It seems as if our peers have no morals. It is truly a shame that a person can’t walk to the store or sit on the porch fearing that they may be involved with some type of conflict that could’ve been prevent or shouldn’t started in the first place. It’s even scarier that your child, friend, sibling, etc. may go to school and never return home. These are the new fears that we as a community have to worry about. There seems to be no source of direction. What makes matters even worse is that we have no one to blame up ourselves. It is our mindset that got us in this situation. We as African Americans feel like we have to be the best at everything and we fear no one. In that sense we feel as if we are superior individuals and that who ever come in our way should be taught that and believe that as well. The reasons for these deaths are stupid and pointless truly they make no sense and we can only look at our selves for the blame of this. If we as a community change our way of thinking more lives will be saved and we will be able to over come anything. Although this may seem simple, it will take a long time for us to realize that this is what needs to be done and all of that other unnecessary stuff means nothing at all.
