Shadows or Dwarf

He was a young and recluse young boy. He was only 17 years old; his father had died in an accident. He lived with his mother, brother, and a friend. Christian was his name; Christian had to work to help his mother with the cost of the apartment.

Christian’s friend moved in with him and his family because he had left his house because he had problems with his stepfather. His stepfather had a really big Haughtiness ​about what was doing and how he treads his other children ​and fastidious about what Javier did. Javier was Christian’s friend; They were both sitting down and had a condor a conversation about how hard their lives had been. After a few topics Javier decided that he had to tell his friend something had to tell his friend something he had never told anybody else but his grandfather and his aunt.

He said “Chris I think it time to tell you something erratic I have never told anybody but my grandfather and aunt.

 Chris got scared and looked at his friend straight into the eyes. He didn’t know what to expect when Javier said that it was so esoteric. So he sat down and asks him what was wrong.

“Tell me did you get in trouble, do you need money, is your grandfather okay? Tell me what is wrong.” Chris said nervously.

 “Calm down its nothing about what you mention. I don’t know how to start. I am just going to tell you what happens.” Javier said with a broken voice.

 “Tell me already!” Chris said.

“When I was younger I saw dwarfs, it started when I was about four years old. This happen while I was in my aunts’ apartment she had called me to go to bed but I didn’t listen because I was playing with him. So, she got mad and well I went to sleep when she heard a knock on the door I went to answer it and I told him that I was time for me to sleep. When he answered me he said he would be back tomorrow to play with me.” Javier said as he saw the amuse of his friend.

“Wait so you are telling me you see things that nobody else can see. Also when this happened you were only four?” Chris asked as he heard the story his friend was speaking about.

“Yes, I was only four but the problem here is that now it’s not the dwarf I see. Now I see shadows and I feel followed be someone everywhere I go.” Javier said with a worried.

As the talk went on Chris wanted to do research to help his best friend. They got their coats and headed out when out of nowhere Javier stopped and looked back and saw Christians’ younger brother and looked at him and hugged him tight and gave him his gray rosary. As he was getting up he felt someone grabbing him pulling him away from Julian. When he got up someone pushed him so hard that hit the furniture and obliterate where he fell down. Christian ran and grabbed his friend and held him down. He asked him why he gave his rosary to Julian.

 “Why did you give my little brother your rosary, what is happening answer please.” Christian begged Javier to tell him.

“He needs it more than I do; Let him keep it that will protect him and make him immune meanwhile I find another way out so he won’t get hurt. Someone wants to hurt him I see shadows around him whenever he falls asleep you and I will keep on the lookout he can’t sleep alone till I talk to a wizard to see how to keep them away from him.” Javier said to Christian.

As the days when on he stopped seen them around him. They left him sleeping because they thought that was nothing to worry about, as they walked in they saw him on ground they tried waking him up and he open his eyes.

 “I feel too indolent​, lethargic​and sleepy” Julian said in a sleepy mood.

 “Hurry I need you to fill the tub, he was burning in fever they started bathing him and his fever went down, as the fever went down Julian started to react they got him out they went to see the wizard. Julian, Christian and Javier all came out with a different bracelet they were never to give away or take off and if the bracelet fell they had to go back for another because bad, horrible things could happen. Someone could get hurt or even someone can have an accident.

 They got home and they all saw a shadow started to walk so they all followed it to where Christian and Julian’s mom was laying. They saw a small creature they all said that he had murder her. They didn’t know what to do nor what to think. They were all thinking he had something to do with it. Since that they don’t know what to believe if the dwarfs have done it or that shadows that had been around. They all were worried because of the danger that could happen and they didn’t know if the harm could be as bad as they can expect it.

“Dude I’m really terrified, what id we all die”. said Chris.

“We are not going to die, all that could happen is we could get injured or just get knocked out and not remember a thing”, replied Javier.  

The kids were all shivering because of how scared they were or the presence of the dwarfs or shadows they couldn’t tell.

“Javier why don’t we just run out and tell someone, its getting out of control and I cant take it no more”, Chris said furiously.

“No, no one I mean no one can know about my visuals”, Javier in a dramatically voice.

“Why not if we don’t tell no one we could possibly die or disappear with the dwarfs or shadows”, said Julian

“open your mind and look what they have done to your mom bro”, screamed Chris.

The kids would try to find a hiding place but no matter where they would hide Javier could still feel the presence of the dwarfs or shadows. At this point the kids didn’t know what to do. They couldn’t react quick enough to do something about it. They were all filled with fear.

            All of a sudden the furniture started to shake as if an earthquake has started and then Julian started crying because he didn’t want to die or getting hurt because of Javier’s creepy things.

            “Shut up, we aren’t going to die I wont let anything happen to none of us.” Javier said in a confident tone.

            “You promise?” replied Chris

            “Yes I promise now shut up and let me think of something so we can do something about my problem.” he said angrily.

            The kids would wander of the house to see if they could find any protection they could use. The kids couldn’t get it together especially Julian. He was most terrified of the situation going on the house.  He couldn’t stand it.

            “I want to leave, I just want my mom here” Julian said while crying.

            “I know it painful and scary but we don’t have any other choice but to stay in here and think of something” replied Chris.

            As hours passed by, Javier could see and hear things being thrown at. He didn’t know what to do because he wanted to take care of his responsibility he had. He knew he brought them into this mess and he knew it was up to him to get them out of there. With the help of his two important people he had he knew they could get away with it.

            “Guys I know how to keep the shadows or dwarfs away for a while” Javier whispered.

            “What is it” Chris replied.

            “I need to be asleep for a few hours cause I knew they would follow me any where so the only way to attract them was to fall asleep.” Javier said.  

            “Are you sure you want to do this” Julian questioned.

            “Yes it’s the only way for you guys to eat and survive a few hours without the dwarfs/shadows bothering you.” Javier said while holding on to Julian’s shoulder.

            “Okay Javier but try to be careful in your dreams or where ever you see them” Chris said nervously.

            “I will, you guys just try to rest and be careful if anything happens” Javier replied.

            As Javier lays himself on the ground the two other kids go to find some supplies to survive and anything else they use for any danger later on. Julian told Chris that he had found food they could eat and a supply of water that could last them for 2 days. There hunt was successful so far. Chris goes to a room where he finds a gun under the bed as he searches for objects he could use for protection. He went to Julian and told him what he had found in the room upstairs by the bathroom. He was surprised that Chris found that because probably that would be the only helpful thing they have in this house and in surviving in the house.

            “Do you think this can come in handy?” Julian said.

            “I mean that’s only chance of surviving well I guess it is” Chris said firmly.

            “You’re right that is re only thing to victory” Julian said while a smirk on his face.

            Even though the kids had protection on them they still didn’t feel safe. One of the kid had an idea to get rid of the dwarfs or shadows.

            “Why can’t we just get rid of Javier with the gun while we have a chance” Julian said.

            “Are you crazy?” replied Chris with a shocked tone.

            “no but that’s our only chance into surviving” julian said.

            “I don’t care he’s my friend and I don’t want to take his life” he said in a furious way.

            After there little talk, the guys only had a hour left until they had to wake up Javier from his sleep.

            “I don’t want to wake him up” said Julian.

            “Neither do I but we have too” replied Chris.

            The two kids kept arguing if they should take him out or not, it was a hard decision for Chris because he is really good friends with him since the longest and didn’t want to end his life so he could just live.

            It was time for Javier to wake up. Chris went up to him to wake him up but little did Chris know that Julian was right behind to do the job that was meant for.

            “Javier wake up bro, you had your sleep already.” Chris said while tapping on his shoulder.

            “He isn’t waking up” Chris said in a worried tone.

            “Tap on his shoulder one more time or try picking him up from the ground” replied Julian.

            “Okay ill try one more time but if he doesn’t wake up then that means he left us because of the haunted in his dream.

            Julian quietly moved to the gun where chris had placed it. Julian checked if the gun was armed or not and luckily it was. Julia was planning in finishing him off once and for all. Julian lied to Chris saying he didn’t want to see Javier being wake up so he stood back a little, but Julian was actually a few feet away with the gun in his hand ready to fire at Javier.

            “He’s waking up” Chris said with a smile on his face.

            Chris turned him around. Javier woke up to seeing Julian holding the gun and being pointed at. All you hear is the trigger going off. Chris reacted quickly seeing Julian with the gun but didn’t have a chance to save Javier.  

Even with Javier dead, little did Julian he set the dwarfs/shadows free from what had been haunting Javier for a while. In that exact moment they were free Julian didn’t to blink because he was goner by the shadow that had haunted Javier and not a dwarf. Chris was the only survivor and the shadow that haunted him now was Javier which was fine by him because he would be by his friend for a while.
