The age does matter I say a 3 year difference is the max in high school but once you turn 21 I say it is ok To go higher in my opinion because once ur 21 or older ur an adult and everyone older than you is an adult like an 18 year old should only be able to go down to a 16 year old every year makes a big difference in my eyes
