Streotypes
There are many stereotypes that African Americans have digested into their everyday lives. Stereotypes like language, many young African Americans speak improper English. Improper English is used by at least 90% of African American children. Another stereotype that is presented is that many African Americans prefer to to be called black because they believe they aren't African; even though they have an African ancestry. Television also stereotypes the perception of Africa; many donating organizations go to the worst and poorest parts of Africa and show sickest children. People who watch it believe that Africa is like that overall.
