I'm feeling as those this is a race.
A race of life and love.
Like, I get determined...motivated, you know keep moving off this energy drink. Then I crash and burn...
A race of life and love.
Like, I get determined...motivated, you know keep moving off this energy drink. Then I crash and burn...
Ok, so I crash and burn...tears come...I feel as though I can't do it. Can't make it.
People expect me to fall, to stumble...start limping if I get back up. Do what I did last time. Yet, this time...I do it differently. I look down, tie my shoes and keep moving. No energy drink will keep me moving this time.

Yet, obstacles come...then...what I was running from in the beginning decides to run beside me. I'm sweaty, I'm tired. I feel as though I've proven my point. So I let the runner beside me get ahead. That hurts, cause I felt I came so far, to stop and let this person win. I let my weakness kick in. So I start running again. My competition, my weakness, the runner...who brought me to this point...we make eye contact. That slows him down & reminds him of his weakness, his competition, his motivation.
Instead of me slowing down, I gain speed...my feet are moving so fast I feel as though I'm floating. I turn to see where he is...He's walking now...real slow. I keep running. He waves, to let me know he's coming.Yet, I still run. I'm on auto.I'm close to the finishline and now he's running.I'm soooo close to winning, so close to victory.
Yet, I stop.We both stare at each other. He's running so fast, it's scary. When he's at least two feet away. He stops and extends his hand. I look in confusion. We stand there...feeling victorious...determined, and...strong. Even though to each other, it used to be the opposite. This feeling consumes me and I grab his hand...Hands linked together...we cross the finishline. Winning had never felt so good...
