What is the meaning of my name?

My name is Rubi, both of my parents named me. My name does have a meaning, Rubi stands for a precious Rubi stone. I really love my name and I wouldn't change it for nothing in the world. Rubi is the name that my parents choose for me, and I respect it. I really don't think my name has a religious meaning to it but its ok, i like it anyway. I believe that no matter what your parents name you,you shouldn't change it just because you don't lioke it or because you are imbaressed of what people might think. "Everyone should be proud of their name".
