Thunderstorms
I never understood why I had such a fear
It was only a little rain, and some loud thuds
The screeching of the thunder ran chills up my back,
The thunder sounded like an angry lions growl
The sound of raindrops hitting the window
The sound of the loud thunder
And the sizzling of the lightening
Kept me awake in the dark night
I never understood why,
As the nights grew longer,
I hid under the covers and hoped it would be gone soon
And then sooner or later
The skies cleared up,
The droplets hitting the window soon stopped,
And the flashing stopped too,
I thought to myself,
Finally I got to get a goodnights sleep.
