Dear mom:
This is your son richard and so far the war is o.k but i dont know if i will see combat because of my leg. tell kenny that i miss him and i also miss you too. jenkins the man i told you about died coming back to our spot, war is cool but at the same time dangerous because everybody is dieing and you wouldnt know if you would die next. i know when i left home you probably thought it would be a bad thing because you think something might happen to me but i am fine, and strong. i didnt have any other plans, and peewee the other man i told you about hes cool but he dont take any mess from anyone, we also traveled too and it was a fun experience expecially meeting new people everyday. i cant wait until i come home because i miss it and i also meet a lot of friends and it is kind of hard expecially with simpson on my back and i just keep on moving with the days.
