Being a senior is something I find very important. There are many things you have to do when you become a senior. It is very important that you don't wait to the last minute to do them. Senior year is one of the most important years in the lives of many students. Many have to wait to see whether or not they will be walking across the stage. They go on prom, but they have to wait until around June to see whether or not they will be graduating. I know I will be graduating, there's not a doubt in my mind. In the September 2008 I see myself in someone's college program, being successful as usual. My life is important so i know I will make the best of it.

My plans for the summer is to work at Chase bank. I really appreciate that the principal considered me for the job at chase bank. I know I will be able to do whatever is to be done on the job and I know I will be able a good candidate. If I could have a perfect summer I think I would go to Jamaica or Hawaii, those have always been my dream vacations. That would be a perfect summer for me. I have alot of things plan for my summer and I hope will be able to do them all.

There lived Diamond, sixteen years old and pregnant by Big Smooth who is eighteen. Diamond loves Big Smooth with all of her heart and would do anything for him. When Big Smooth sees Diamond he would ask her for some money to get high and drunk on. I f Diamond tells him no he would get mad and starts to hit her. Big Smooth would hit her so hard that he would leave bruises on her. After all the hurt and pain he put her threw, Diamond still love and care about him with all of her heart.
Big Smooth is always spending time with his friends and stuff but if Diamond asks him to spend sometime with her he would say no. Big Smooth would hurt her in so many ways, but still again she loves him with all of her heart.
One morning when Diamond got out of bed ,she had found a letter saying that if she continue on to let Big Smooth hurt her then she is going to wind up dead. She had thought that someone was trying to scare her so she didn’t pay it know mind. I would rate this school year a C and outside of school a B. This school year has been boring and anything outside of school is always great. My highlights for this school year were the couple of trips, I liked doing the world Bazaar, and the African Feast, but I was even happier when it was over. The low lights were right now , the end of the school year. All the teachers rush everthing and you have assignments in every class due at the same time. Next year is senior year, so I plan to come to school everyday, that's if I get up early enough.

Mel-Mel didn't like the things that were going on in the hood. Mel's soldiers weren't putting in enough work making his right amount of money. Mel was still in school, but he sold drugs because he had a hard time at home. Mel-Mel just turned 17 ad was about to become a senior in high school. His dream was to become a point guard for the Miami Heat. During the first day of his senior year, he found out that everything on the block was going wrong.
Mel decided to stop selling drugs because he wanted to move on to big and better things and leave the hood behind him, since there wasn't anything for him there. When the basketball season came around, he signed up for the school team. To his surprise, he was picked up and was given the starting position of point guard. His first game, Mel scored 16 pts for the team and hit the game-winning shot. He got comfortable playing with the team and decided that he would continue the season without quitting.
Mel continued with basketball through his years in high school all the way until he finished college. Two years after playing street ball in Los Angeles, Mel was founded by the manager of the Miami Heat and drafted into the roster, where he continued his starting position as point guard. Mel led the Miami heat to winning game, retiring at the age of 35. Some dreams really do come true after all.

And being a boy in that town you want to grow up to be justlike that and it was this one boy who always talking about when he gets older he's going to do it bigger than any other person have ever done. His name was Derek but his nickname was Flyboy he hung out with Two guys Rod and 50. They were all talking about doing it big but Flyboy just wanted it all and would do anything to get to the top.
So as they got older it seemed to go right for Rod and 50 but as the years went by and Rod and 50 stop seeing Flyboy. 50 and Rod forgot about him and they were the top dogs in the game. But in the shadows and the dark there was Flyboy watching and planning his move to rob 50 and Rod because if he gets them he will be the man on top so one night after a party 50 and Rod was very drunk and leaving with girls and they got hungry and went to a resturant as they were ordering Flyboy and some guys jump out and shot 50 9 timesand shot Rod in the head. I was a very shy teenager, and so was my first boyfriend. We were high school sophomores in a small town. We had been dating for about six months. A lot of sweaty hand-holding, actually watching movies, and talking about nothing in particular. We often came close to kissing we both knew that we wanted to be kissed, but neither of us had the courage to make the first move. Finally, while sitting on my living room couch, he decided to go for it. We talked about the weather, and then he leaned forward. I put a pillow up to my face to block him! He kissed the pillow. I wanted to be kissed sooo badly, but I was too nervous to let him get close. So, I moved away down the couch. He moved closer. We talked about the movie, he leaned forward again. I blocked him again. I moved to the end of the couch. He followed, we talked. He leaned, I stood up! I walked over near the front door and stood there, leaning against the wall with my arms crossed, and said impatiently. “Will are you going to kiss me or not”? He said yes and as I stood tall waiting for the kiss I smiled and he kissed my teeth. I was too upset.

He’s not only successful on the court, but is also successful in the classroom. Wade is the most popular student at Harper. He attacks the rim with his speed and amazing force.
He’s like Harpers own American hero. When a student needs help with any subject, they just call Wade to the rescue. They say no one person is perfect, but I think God made an acceptance. The guy is unpredictable. He falls and doesn’t get hurt, never got an F, and no one hates him. But even superman had a weakness.
Wade is not the type that would fight; he would want to talk about it. He has his whole life planned out for himself. Wade has had every college you could think of visit him, but with only one in mind. Wade has decided to go to Michigan State, the closest place to home. Now his only worry is what color to wear to prom.
Prom is next week and Wade has two dates, so he decides to take both. This was his only option; he doesn’t like to disappoint anyone. Reaching for the Stars is the prom theme; you could say Wade is already there. Wade decides to wear red to prom with a little help from his mom. For Wade this was only the beginning of a life time of joy and happiness.

For prom what im trying to do is do it big because my cousin went on prom and this girl had a dodge charger with the Lambergee doors. But what im trying to take on prom is a Range Rover all black or maybe silver. The color that i want to wear is maybe a peach and cream or a maze and cream. And i want to be showing alot of skin like my entire back need to be out because by then i will have my tataoo i want a big butterfly right on my back big. And a diamond shape in the front to show my belly ring. But i know like evertbody is gonna have a long dress that has a tail but i dont want that i want a short dress that like stops at my knee or something like that. Feeding every one to three hours is best. Do not let more than three hours pass, during the day between feedings. Sit in a comfortable chair with your feet elevated on a stack of books or a stool. Or lay a pillow on your lap tp bring the baby closer to your breast and avoid straining your back. Another position is to lie down on your side you begin to breastfeed from. Vary the position as you both learn to breastfeed. Use extra pillows to help support your back and arms. Support your breast with four fingers under and your thumb on top. For privacy use a baby blanket or towel over your shoulder. Wear shirts that open in the front or you can easily pull up from the waist. After feeding rub a little breast milk onto the nipples and let them air dry for a few minutes. Do not use soap or anything else on your nipples.They say that breastfeeding is good for your baby everyone says that its good healthy and safe. They say you shouldn't feed your baby formula.

Finally It Happened
“Yes”! “I will, I will”! Allen put the ring on Catherine finger and smiled. Catherine told Allen that she had to call her mother and father. So, she got on the phone and called. When your mother picked up the phone, Catherine just started talking and mother told her to slow down. Catherine took a deep breath and told her mother. Her mother started yelling and was so happy. She told Catherine’s father, but he wasn’t that happy, but he told her congratulations anyway.
When Catherine hung up the phone, she and Allen went out for lunch. When they were at lunch, one of Allen’s old girlfriends came to the table. She said “Allen is that you”? He looked up and saw who it was. He laughed and shook his head in disappointment. He said “What do you want Rebecca”? “Nothing” she said. I just noticed there was a big black sexy man sitting over here. Allen looked at her and said “Don’t you ever disrespect me or my fiancé ever again”. “Your fiancé”? “Yes”. Rebecca this is Catherine, my future wife.
Catherine smiled and Rebecca turned up her nose. Rebecca was so mad that she just walked off in anger. That’s when Catherine started to ask a lot of questions and Allen answered them honestly. He told Catherine about his relationship with Rebecca and the outcome of it.

Last night me and my sister was outside sitting on the porch. As we always did in the summer time. We talked about how our senior year would be, we were was twins. That night didn't feel right as I watched the night sky shadow of our face. As we walked to go into the house a man car rode down the street. I thought it was my big brother friend. The man asked a Jamal come here. This ain't Jamal as me and my sister Carmele moved toward the door. I know that's you asked as he pulled out an object. I went in slow motion stunned at what was happening. The shots were fired as I ran into the door. I exhaled as I looked over to my sister and call to see if she was okay. Carmele as I screamed, I did't get a response back. I went to her side where she was holding her chest breathing heavily. I screamed out someone help as my brother came through door nearly falling to his knees. What happpen. Come we don't have time to talk we got to get her to the hospital. We rudhed her as I clucted her hand tight as tears poured down my face. We entered the emerengcy room as the doctor rushed to take her away. I set their with blood covering my T-shirt. David cursed and repeatedly banged on the door. She couldn’t let him in. If she did, it would mean that she’d be throwing her life away. She remembered that there was a gun in the room, somewhere.
It was going to be either his life or hers. She looked under the bed, between the mattresses, in the drawers, and she found nothing. Then she looked up at the shoe boxes on top of the shelf and emptied them all, the 45 caliber gun falling on the floor. As she scrambled on the floor and picked it up, she fell back against a wall and closed her eyes, waiting for the sound of a break-in.
As the lock broke and the door flung open, David rushed at her and she emptied the gun of all its bullets. When she opened her eyes, he was lying down on his stomach and bleeding torrents of blood. He gave his last breath and died away.

It was the year of 2002 when my life changed for good my name is Joey Santana I was born in a small town right outside of Italy and my family is what you would call poor and could not afford to get me the things that I wanted so they did the best that they could I was among six other brothers they were all older than me so that meant that I was the baby. I did not have clothes like they had and they always got more things than I did, I was teased and abused by them and they did not even care, at school I was talked about and beat up as well because of the clothes that I wore.

As a black chevy impala pulled up into the parking lot, you could see the shines from the rims about a block away. A guy in a black hoody and black pants jumped off a mailbox and walked slowly to the car looking both ways. Inside the car was a dude named Chris and his girl KK. As Chris slowly rolled down the window, the boy began telling him about the next drop off and what time to come pick it up. Chris was getting upset because he was told the same thing yesterday and he couldn’t wait any longer. He needed his money and he wanted it now, so he jumped out the car and stole off dude as KK in the background yelling, “That’s right boo.” while doing her nails.
He then, calmly, walked back toward the car and, as he closed the door, dude put his hand through the window. Chris rolled up the window and, as he bagged up, he crushed his fingers having to hear enough of all the yelling he decided to let him go. Julissa howard lived with her mother in ohio, her father walked out on them when julissa was only one years old. julissa was seventeen and she was a A student. monday came and julissa was getting ready for school, she couldnt wait because her friend essence was going to her school. julissa got to school and she was looking for essence, she found her in the bathroom smoking a cigarette, essence asked her did she want to try it and julissa shook her head, essence told her that it was just something to relax her mind. julissa smoked one and then another one, she went to all her classes and went home, her mom came home and she was wondering why julissa smelt like smoke and she told her what happened, her mother couldnt believe it so she told her she was dissapointed. julissa soon dropped out of school and was kicked out of the house, she hiched hicked a ride to miami where she sold her body for money. one night while out on the streets she thought about what she onced had and what more she could of had but this was what she had to do, she made a mistake trying to do what essence did and she had to deal with it. julissa was soon hooked on drugs and thirsty for sex, she prostituted from sun down to sun up, she would buy her something to eat then use the rest for dugs the biggest mistake.

This year has been quite a successful year for me. I have been coming to school and doing what I was supposed to do. I can now say that I have been here everyday this year and that makes me so proud of myself. I have always been the type to love coming to school and I can say it has really paid off. As you can plainly see, we have a shot at winning it all. First GP, who we beat 2-1. Then AOBE, who we beat once. As a matter of fact we only lost to them because of a few bad calls. Then in the last game we play Freshman Academy (i'm calling for the upset over CTA). They have some guards and some big men, but not at the same time. They lack depth and chemistry. Only 3 games to the championship. Let's go FACETS.

I think that this class if easy but hard. I say that becvause we are givinf work back to back and it hyou are not giving uis time to finish one assignment before we are given another one. What i like about this class is that I am almost finished with it. what I dislike about this caliss is that we are given to much work at once give us time to finish one assignm,ent before we are given another one. What I could have done bvetter is nothing.

Krystal Durr: My overall opinion of the class is that the class was spectular this year. For my first year in facets this was one of my favorite classes. What I like about this class was I was alwayed challenged especially with my writing. I didn't dislike anything about the class everthing seemed to be organized and in place. What could have been better would could have read a couple of more books and did projects with them.

My overall opinion of this class is somewhat of a good opinion. I say this because all year the class was more of a i give you a project and you do it and turn it in. I have really enjoyed this class. Up until the time of the ACT prep. Because we did so much of it. However, i think you need to stop giving us so much work.

My overall opinion of this class is I like it. At first I didn't like it, it was boring to me, now it's cool. my over all opinion on this class is that i like it so far and it has been cool there have not been too much work and not to little work, what i liked about this class was when we had to write a short story i also liked the way the class was working at a steady pace and we did not get worked to hard like last year and that was kind of fun for me. What i did not like about the work that we were doing was the amount of time we had to do it but it was still ok after it was all done, besides the amount of time on the projects nothing else could have been better just the amount of time we had to do the assignment, But other than that it has been a great school year in your class.
my over all opinion on this class is that i like it so far and it has been cool there have not been too much work and not to little work, what i liked about this class was when we had to write a short story i also liked the way the class was working at a steady pace and we did not get worked to hard like last year and that was kind of fun for me. What i did not like about the work that we were doing was the amount of time we had to do it but it was still ok after it was all done, besides the amount of time on the projects nothing else could have been better just the amount of time we had to do the assignment, But other than that it has been a great school year in your class.

Mr.Winfrey class is ok now. It used to go by slow but now that the class is almost over, now it is going fast. I like when he let us work by ourselves. I didn't like when he gave out grades that weren't right. What can be better is if the class can go by faster then what it has. But other then that, the class was ok this year.

This class is alright, there's nothing great about this class. The one thing a liked about this class is when we were practicing for the ACT and we didn't work in the British Lit books. The thing that I dislike is the way we were graded the littlest thing could jeopardize your grade.The only thing that could have made this school year better, is less school.

What I like about your class is the project and to me the work is very easy. What I dont like about your class is that sometimes you give out to much work I mean to much. MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE IN FACETS:
over the past 3 years i have really had a lot iof fun in facets. we've become a family. i've had both good and bad experiences but i still enjoyed them all. i will never forget my facets teachers because they have been more than teachers to me they have been like my mother and father. i want to end this by saying that i love my class of 06 and my facets teachers and i'll never forget you guys.

Danielle Smith: Overall in Mr. Winfery class I think that it is a good class. It is fun at the same time. What I like is that it is a laid back class and it kind of hard too. What I don't like abou this class is that you alway give out projects. As soon as we get done with one we get another one. I like the class the way that it is I don't think that anything could be better.

I think the class was great. I have read more books in this class than I have ever read in my life. I have learned about some things that I would have to do when I get in college. I liked reading some of the books that we read they were interesting. I liked doing the projects but they could have been less work than they were. Ronesha Johnson 6/2/06: I am going to be soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sad when I graduate and leave Harper. I will be happy when I graduate, but I will miss my teachers so much. Especially my FACETS teachers. I am so happy that next friday i am graduating from high school. some people thought i would have made it this far and i prove them wrong and i am continuing to prove them wrong by going from to colllege with my child with me. Janna Swan: My overall opinion of this class is that Mr. Winfrey taught us on a college level. At first I really didn't understand why he was doing that but now I understand. He didn't take late work because in the real world they want there work on time so that helped me turn my work in on time. What I disliked about this class was the assignments, there was so many and so much work you had to do on them. I am very glad that I am leaving this school. the weather today is not nice. It is to hot .I almost didn't want to come to school. I can't lie it is not as hot as it was on the weekend.It felt like it was close to1oo degrees. The classroom feels the same as outside even though we got fans in here. It is just to hot to be doing anything.

The weather today could be described as being very hot. It's dry out and the only thing that's moist is someone's forehead. It's too, too hot out. Like I said in my last bellringer, it's not even summer yet, and it's already really hot out.
I was the first person in class today and I immediately turned the fan on and positioned it for the class, because I knew that almost everyone in the class would want to be in front of the largest fan in the room.
