I was not expecting what was waiting for me just as I rounded the corner. It was Derrick waiting for 6 years now. I was wondering what the f*** is he doing waiting on me, when I’m walking up with my new boyfriend. Derrick quickly approach me saying “This is Stephon” Instantly Derrick tries to fight Stephon, I mean at the time all I can see is derrick standing 6:1, light skinned, dreads and Stephon 5:7 dark skinned, with dreads also. I grab Stephon so that we can walk away but he wasn’t trying to hear that at the time. Sunrise, damn here I go back off to school, but on my way to Derrick house to pick up my sister. I called her down stairs to meet me, but Derrick run his ass down stairs before I could even press the talk button. “So that lil nigga over me” He said with a grouchy voice. “I mean you been doing you Derrick, so when I move on it’s a problem”. We argued back and forth until I figured I was late for school. After school I meet up with PHON-PHON which is what I call Stephon for short. Derrick pull up in a car “didn’t I tell you about this nigga e” Stephon replied “man e let me get this nigga’ I fall back and let them fight, they going at it for a while. Then they both pull out guns. Quickly I stand in between both of them, and say” shoot me then” Stephon drops the gun first “man buddy ass wild’ Derrick say “come on e get in the car. Now I'm stuck and don’t know what to do. Should I stay or should I go or should I have turned the other corner?
