Is hip-hop better than it was in the post(1995-2000)

i belive that they are very similar. rap music, hip-hop has always talkedabout the same things money, clothes, where they live, how they live girls ect. i couldnt say rap back then was better then now but there was a story and the black people who rapped told that story the story about there life i believe that the rap today has changed alot and to me is really dumb and doesnt say anything about what going on the words in rap today are dumb and each song is basically is saying the same thing
