Do You Think Hip-Hop Was Better Then Than It Is Now??
I think Hip-Hop was better in the past than it is now. Honestly, I barely hear hip-hop music that deals with unity. It was the whole point of hip-hop: peace and unity. Now, rappers are "beefing" with each other and Biggie & Tupac are dead! No offense but I'm being honest because people argue over the dumbest things. Then, the worst comes--death! I just don't see that unity in the hip-hop community like it was before. Emcees like Kanye West and Common influence me to be analytical because I'm a human with questions. When can we get that love again? The world's at its feet and sometimes, that could become quite painful. Hip-hop is meant to be about making the world a better place. Noe, the world's just selfish because it doesn't care anymore about who's hurt and how they hurt. I had to put my own spin at it because it's how I see it every now and then. So, yes, hip-hop was better in the past than it is now.
