                                                Video Game Crisis

Although America releases mass quantities of video games a year, it seems that we (America) overlook the test scores of our youth. Kids seem to want to jump right onto their Play stations, Xbox. Nintendo's etc. instead of studying for that big exam they have the next day. Studies have shown that the average American child would rather play a game of Mortal Kombat than practice their math material. This also leads into my next topic. Violent video games tend to make children more aggressive. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold (you might know them as the columbine kids) enjoyed playing the shoot-em up game Doom. This is what physiatrist believes triggered their aggression. After this incident ratings were put on games and teens 17 and older were able to buy these violent games. I really believe that if children practice on math, reading, and language instead of playing shooting, killing games, (right after they've been picked on all day by a school the school bully) the test scores will rise and the violent crimes in America will in time come to a halt.
