"Love is… not harping about your problem." The comics section has its ups and downs. Some are funny and some don't make sense. The comics recently added the number puzzle Sudoku. That was a good change for the comics section. I personally was surprised when I happen to come across the comics section while looking through the newspaper. Comics are very helpful to those who might start their morning off rough. Such getting stuck in traffic or they may have spilled coffee in themselves. Reading the comics let off a little stress. Sarcasm always works. The downs of the comics section is that some of the comics don't make sense. You'll read it and you wouldn't get the joke. Other than that, the comics have the majority of ups than downs. They have the sweet comedy, Love is.., and they also have the job comedy, Beetle Bailey. Putting comics in the newspaper was a great idea. I encourage that, if the newspaper was to be change, the comics should remain the same.

My topic is on transportation, funds and about it is that its breaking everyone's pocket, and the funds are getting higher when it use to be resonaible. I feel that transportation shouldnt be that high, because the people who are rideing the rideing the CTA buses are mostly the ones who need transportation services to get to point A to point z, who also has no transportation or who can't afford a car or even want one nore ready to for one. It's like all our money is being flush in the system with out doing us any justices. I truely hope that the next president will change this situation for the best and not for the worst.

CTA new system
I strongly disagree that Governor Blagojevich should lay off the CTA employers and bus fare is going up $3.25 and there will be few bus routes. If he lay off employers then there's going to be less bus routes to get to your destination. Governor Blagojevich said the legislature has to pass something that he can agree to. He's also increasing the sale taxes.2,400 CTA employees was given a sixty day layoff notice. If the legislature doesn't pass anything it will be a bad situation to lay off CTA and not only that students that ride the CTA coming back and forth to school they probably be late to school. I personally think they should come up with a new solution rather than lying off employees and less bus routes, that way people won't fell stress about paying extra money.

It's very difficult to get into college for young black males. The standards are set so high. Now they want you to score a 19 or higher on the ACT to get into a descent school. That makes it real difficult because most people don't test well, but are excellent students, and some students might have scored high on the ACT but are bad students. I don't think colleges should base their admissions off the Act because they might be missing out on a good student.

Today I am going to talk about these babies having babies. These young girls now days think that it is cute to be walking around pregnant. Parents now days need to sit down and talk to their kids and tell them that it's not easy taking care of a child.
So many girls that I see walking up the street, on the bus stop, and in school are pregnant. Either the have babies or about to have one. Most girls know they don't need to be trying to raise a baby at their age. They are still kids their self. If you still live at home with your mother and she still taking care of you. That person especially shouldn't be thinking about a baby. They should be worried about get out of school and getting a good education. So they could work a good paying job.
This is why I think that these young teenagers shouldn't be having kids. We have so much stuff going on in the world today. People need to wake up and smell the coffee. We should put all that energy into fighting for more jobs and better ones for black people. Theses teenagers are too young in my eyes to be having kids. So this is why I wanted to talk about this issue today.

polution started global warming problems so the weather started acting

When people think of CTA, people think of "Dooms Day." As planned, the cancelation of bus routes and rasied fares will start Jan. 20, 2008. For some people, this new change wont affect them, but for others it will be a nightmare for the reason that some take the bus to school and to work. One good reason why they should change the CTA Bus routes is because people will have to use a different result of transportation such as walking and riding bikes and it could be good for exercise. But most of all, the bad reason why they shouldn't change it is because more people are going to be strugling with the high bus fares and also because they're going to have to find a different way to take the bus and for others it could be difficult because some take the bus to go to downtown to go to work and also to go to school.

I really dont get the reason for President Bush to say"No Child Left Behind", because it's a lot of kids that is not getting a good education. When kids at Harper high school get to school at a certain time, they have to sit downstairs in the lunchroom untill the next period.On school days it be kids walking the streets, and the police ride staight pass them knowing that they have somewhere to be.If a student doesnt make it to school I think that the principal needs to call home.The only reason why schools say"No Child Left Behind" is that they know that the president is preaching that idea.I think that President Bush should stand up for what he puts out there.
