Growing up as a teen in chicago is very rough. Living in the Englewood area can be tough to many teenagers. There are so many things you can be peer pressured into doing. As soon as teens enter highschool they are on a roller coaster right away. Many families dont feel safe having there childern play outside because of all the gang violence. Being a teen in chicago is basically whether you have to protect yourself and avoid peer pressure. When I say protect your life is when teens are asked to join gangs, so they can feel that they are protected when they are ever in trouble..In conclusion growing up as teen is difficult, but if you live here you have to make the best of it and make smart choices.
