The Spirit House By: Derrick Hearns
On a hot summer day in Creek Town John Mitco, Kim Mitco, and their parents rode up to their perfectly new house. With their parents already saw the inside of the house Kim and John ran up to the door and flung it open. They both ran up stairs to pick which room they wanted. “John, Kim” there mother called up stairs. The two of them came pounding down the stairs excited of the new house. John and Kim went racing outside to the moving truck and started unloading their boxes. Later on around dinner time they had finished unpacking and were ready to explore the new neighborhood they lived in. “not so fast you two” said their mother. Catching them trying to go out the house she told them that they had to eat dinner before they go anywhere. John and Kim went and sat down at the dinner table where there farther were already be seated eating dinner.
Soon after dinner Kim jumped up and put on her shoes, that could only mean one thing to John, time to go exploring. The both of them walked out the house so excited, they were ready to meet new friends and just have fun with them. As they walked down the street and turned a corner they encountered a group of boys and girls that looked ruff. As they walked pass the group of kids and them started to make conversation with each other. “So where you two from” asked a girl named Terri. “We’re from Banana Beach City” john replied. Through out that whole day John, Kim, Terri, and her friends Martin, Ben, Mya, and Jarrell were just talking to each other. Around 9: 45 p.m. everyone exchanged numbers with John and everyone went home.
The next morning they all met up at the park and played baseball. After that they all were walking home for lunch until they walked passed the oldest house in Creek Town. This house was black with old evil statues; the house was covered with vines and was very spooky. “They say that this house has spirits that kill people who ever go inside,” said Martin. “You guys want to have some?” asked Jarrell. “What do you have in mind?” asked Kim. “Let’s go inside the house and see what happens,” said Martin. “Ok lets go” the gang replied. One by one they all entered the gate and were ready to have some fun. They walked up to the door and for some reason it was unlocked. They entered the house and it was empty and smelly. As they walked through the door, the door shut behind them and everybody felt a cold breeze across their necks. Terri ran to the door and tried to open it but it would’nt open.
Everyone started to panic and scream. “Calm down everyone.” John said. “There is a way out this place; the only thing we have to do is just think. They all ran over to the window and tried to open it but it didn’t go. Then they tried to break the window with an old chair, but the window seemed to be made of plastic. Behind them fire lit up in the fire place and some writing appeared on the wall and spelled out YOU WILL DIE. Everyone flew up the stairs into a dark room that was empty. “What are we going to do?” asked Ben”, “we’re going to get out of here this instance” replied Martin. Everyone stood around in a circle trying to figure out what’s going to happen next. Boom! The door flew open and an old lady with a black dress was standing there with her head down. “Why are you kids in my house?” she asked with a cold voice. “We, were here because we wanted to see if the house where really haunted” the kids said. “Well too late you have met your worse night mare,” said the old lady”, then she vanished into spoke. Everyone took flight all around the house, everyone were separated now.
John and Ben ran into the nearest bathroom that was right down the hall. Martin, Kim, and Teeri ran back down stairs into the kitchen and Mya and Jarrell ran up to the attic. A loud noise all of sudden came from the basement and five big monstrous creatures came walking up the stairs. They all started to sniff and two of them went towards the kitchen and the other three made their way up the stairs. Martin, Kim, and Terri all heard the creatures coming so they hide in the bottom cabinets. The big creature came walking in the kitchen with a long sharp knife that was about 2 ft long. He looked all around in the kitchen but didn’t see any body, so he walked out and went up stairs. John and Ben was now waiting in the bathroom to see if any body were waiting out side. Behind Ben and John were a window that was cracked. “Look, here a window we can go out of” Ben said. The both of them went over to the window and opened it. One by one they both climb out and slid down the water pipe.
Crack! A piece of glass came falling down from the attic octagon window. “Jarrell” Ben called from outside. “How did you all get outside?” asked Mya. “We came from out the bathroom window and then we slid down that water pipe” said John. Mya and Jarrell did the same thing and were out the house safely. Now it was Martin, Kim, and Terri turn to get out the house. While they were still under the sink Kim decided to come out and make a run for it out the house. Each one of them came from under the cabinets careful. As they were about to walk out the kitchen the old lady appeared in front of them.
“Why are you doing this to us?” asked Kim. “You are all bad children, you do nothing but come into this house and mess up my ancestor house,” she replied. “We didn’t do anything like that to this house” screamed Terri. “No, you may not have done it, but other children who come up in here just for fun do it,” she said in a low cold voice. “Is there any way we can make you happy and you will spare our lives?” said Martin. “Yes, there is one thing you could do, apologize and I would let you go,” the old lady said. “We are very sorry for coming into your house and disrespecting it. Then the whole house glowed up with blew and everything were gone. As they were walking towards the front door some writing came onto the wall that said NEVER COME HERE AGAIN OR YOU WILL FACE DEATH.
