Faith

There once lived a family in Mexico named the Sanchez family. This family consists of a mother, father, and there eight children. The oldest was 10 years of age, while the youngest was 1 year old. The mother was named Yolanda Amelia Robles Sanchez; her husband name was Carlos Federico Perez Sanchez. This family was very poor, they never had what they wanted, and all they had was each other. That is the reason of why they were happy. The children didn’t go to school because they decide to stay home and help work to maintain their family. Sometimes their parents would argue, not because their husband was violent but because they were so stressed out. Every night Yolanda and Carlos would fight and the children would cry and didn’t understand why or what occurred. Just thinking about jobs and they’re home, and there children’s education made there parents fight. As months passed the family kept on arguing, this time it got worse. For the first time in Carlos life he put a hand on his wife. Yolanda suffered a whole lot; she cried day after day not knowing why god never listened to her prayers.
The next day Yolanda thought about running away by her self. No, she was not a selfish woman or a mean mother, but the stress did get to her and drove her crazy. As she almost walked out the door at 5:45 am her daughter Emelia woke up and ask her “ Mama donde vas?” in tears her mother lied to her and told her she was going to work. Emelia didn’t believe her so she told her “Mama te quiero, y no quiero que te vayas”. Yolanda hugged her daughter and all of her sense returned. Yolanda changes her mind and promised her daughter that she will try to find a way to get out of this hard life they were living in. Carlos woke up and talked to Yolanda in the kitchen, and said ‘Yolanda I apologize for hitting you, I promise that it will not repeat”. She told him that she understands his anger but that he didn’t have to take it all on her. They both came to an agreement which was to cross the border to America were it would be better. They agreed to move before the stress got to them and will eventually ruin their family.
That same afternoon they crossed the border, Yolanda prayed so much and had a lot faith in god. Yolanda told Carlos that god is always present and with his help they will be fine. As they crossed over they saw the FBI coming, everyone hid and pretended to be dead so nobody would know their purpose. The FBI got close to them and noticed what the family was about to do. As a result the cops caught Carlos and their kids. They all were about to get deported back to their country or if not in prison. It was weird that Yolanda was not there. The rest of the family was worried that she might be dead, hurt or caught by the police. A few miles away Yolanda was by a tree looking up at the sky in tears she faced up, and questioned god. She began to ask “Dios mio porque me castigas de esta forma, Ayudame y proteje a mi familia.” As she looked up at the sky she knew that god was listening to her. Minutes passed and she still was looking up, till Yolanda saw light coming from up there. Such bright light and it made her feel happiness, but at the same time she was worried. It was god, and he told Yolanda that everything is going to be ok. He told he to go and save her family, and not to give up. God told her that she still had a long way to go and that he was going to guide her family. As Yolanda wanted to respond back she couldn’t all she could see is the light fading away from her, till it was all back to normal.
Yolanda began to run and follow god’s advice, she ran and ran till she reached to her family. She thought it was all too late. When she arrived her family was driving away with the FBI, she yelled “aqui estoy’ she fell to the ground and cried. Yolanda cried “perdoname” but nobody heard her. In the car Emelia her daughter turned around and said “Mama, mama” it’s my mom. So the cops turned around and heard Emelia scream and stopped the car. Yolanda didn’t care anymore she just wanted to be with her family, it didn’t matter in which conditions they were. Yolanda looked at the sky and suddenly it began to rain hard like if the world was about to end. It rained so hard that it killed the policemen and with the help of god the Sanchez family ran of to safety. Since then they had a long journey to go. Yolanda said to her family “Wherever there is faith god is with you”. “If people believe and respect and feel that there is 1 god in this earth, then he will look out for you where ever you go. Her family looked confused but happy at the same time they didn’t understand what she was referring to.
Years passed and now the Sanchez family is much better. They are together again but this time with happiness, love and peace between them.
