2009 School year

This year, school seems to be boring in a way. in the other hand, there are classes that are exciting such as Gym! This year Gym is fun because Ms. ortiz is very strict and to me that means she cares...no i'm kidding i like Gym because ms. ortiz reminds me of an old teacher i had. The teacher taught ROTC and to me ROTC was so much fun because it keeps you moving and gets you in shape. also ROTC takes you to a higher level of consiousness. what i mean is that after you take ROTC your mind is turn to a mind of steel because ROTC involves taking your body and goin to your limits, once you met your limits you have to work harder to surpass that. The feeling you get from that us extraordinary and i would recommend ROTC for those who are weak minded.

I think it represent love bcause of the name that's given. Blue represent to me is the blues we have for each other and i also think it represent the sky because the shade of color. Inside of the flower there are like layers of pedals are the pedals through life. Sometimes it falls off which to me means that we mess up in life, everytime a pedal falls off. The stem is u that holds it all togther. You know when it leans or going to break you sometimes screw up in life. Next there are the leaves that are on top of each other. I think those stand for when u grow up. When it rains, it sometimes stay on the leaf and dry. That's what i think i am. I'm sometimes happy and sad at the same time. My Summer

My Summer

My summer was very interesting because I did a lot of things like help my grandmother with her house, the 4th of July, and at the taste. When I went over my grandmother house I help her with a lot of her yard work. One day when I was helping her I was cleaning the front yard when these two pit-bulls came over and started chasing me so I kept jumping on every car I seen. The forth of July was funny because this boy we call “Radio”, we call him that because something wrong with him, had got ran over by a taxi cab by all four wheels and got up like nothing happened. Also one of friends almost got locked up for shooting a firecracker at a cab. The taste was another big thing that happened because a big fight started as soon as we got there.

Well I came to uplift my freshman year and it was ok. Through freshman connection I met most of my friends which are Ahtiona, Bianca Latisha and tanisha freshman year we had alot of problemsbut we are going to but on task this year’s came from Ogden elementary school, for people who don’t no me I’m a very nice person to be around and a good person to come to when your having any problem as well. Some things I like to do on the weekend is go shopping some of my friends say I shop like a white girl but that’s ok because I like the clothes I wear lol. I also like to go out to eat an to a fun place to hang out.

My New Brother

my mom is 5 months pregnant she is having a baby boy, I am excited about it because i only have only one little sister and I wanted a little brother so badly, when my mom told me that she was having a baby i was soo excited I couldn’t believe her I was asking my mom over and over if it was true or if she was just messing with me
but then she said it was true, after that day I was so happy we all are happy my mom dad ,sister, and me. My baby bother is going to be born around the first of January .I cant wait until he is born

At The Park

Me and my cousin jessica we go to the park everyday after school to play vollyball with our friends they cool and nice. we play ecuadorian style thats my favorite sport n basktball, sometimes i like to play soccer but not the much. we go to the park at 5:30 unitl 9:30pm its fun to go to the park because we take our stresst. so i love to go to the park. sometimes my mom dont want to go and i get sad because if she dosent go i dont go neather,well sometimes i go with my cousin n her parents we have to much fun toghether. so yeah that right....

begining of my sophomore year

This was the first week of my second year of high school and so far everything is going well and i am loving all my classes.. plus i am taking honors class which i didn't think i would take any because in elementary school i was getting bad grades and i wasn't doing too well neither.. My Weekend Plans

IM VERY HUNGRY RIGHT NOW. I CANT WAIT TO GET OUT OF SCHOOL. SO THAT I CAN GO TO OLD COUNTRY BUFFET AND SLAM SOME FOOD. THEN AFTER THAT I WILL GO TO THE MOVIES AND WATCH A NEW OR SCARY MOVIE THAT IS OUT. THEN AFTER I AM DONE WITH THAT. I WILL GO HOME AND TAKE A SHOWER AND WATCH T.V FOR ALITTLE. WHEN I MADONE WITH THAT I WILL GO TO SLEEP. I WILL WAKE UP AT ABOUT 4 IN THE MORNING AND DO SOME HOMEWORK. THEN GET ON THE COMPUTER AND GO TO MYSPACE. AROUND 5 OR 6 I WILL GO BACK TO SLEEP AND SLEEP UNTIL ABOUT 12. THEN I WILL GET UP FOR THE DAY. I WILL TAKE A SHOWER AND DO ALL THAT GETTING READY STUFF AND THEN I WILL GO MEET UP WITH MY FRIENDS AND WE WILL GO OUT TO EAT AND TAKE PICTURE AND THEN PROLLY GO SHOPPING AND THAT IS WHAT I WILL DO OVER THE WEEKEND.

The Americas Most Wanted Tour.

Over the summer there was a concert called the Americas Most Wanted Tour with Jerimih,Soulja Boy,Pleasure P,Young Jeezy, and Lil Wayne. First of all, I started hearing about the concert on the radio and me and my bestfriend tried to win tickets on the radio, but winning tickets on the radio is for some and not for some! So we didn't win the tickets! So while I was over my bestfriend house, my sister called me and ask me for my daddy number, so it was kind of akward, but i figured she asked for it for my momma. When I got home the last thing on my mind was that concert so I wasn't thinking about it at all!! So I went down stairs to my sister room to see my nephew and she is smiling at me, so I ask her what is she smiling about, but yet,im still not thinking about the concert,so she was like,do you like soulja boy? and I was like yea... and she was like what about lil wayne? and i was like of course,then thats when the concert popped in my head,so she was like your daddy sent us the money for the concert! and I thought she was lying, and she was like Im forreal,and I got too happy!


The day of the concert was so exciting. It was me,my two sisters,and three of my sisters friends,and we were all getting ready at my oldest sister house,but on make and everything,but then we started to run late,and I was about to cry! So on our way to the concert I was panicing because we were missing the concert. When we got to the concert,I can hear Soulja Boy singin Turn my swagg on,and I started running!! Not knowing we have to stand in a long line and pick up our tickets from the box office. When I got that ticket in my hand,We all ran!! By the time we got to our seats Young Jeezy was performing,my sister was going crazy,he is okay but not to scream over. So after young jeezy went off I was waiting for lil wayne to come on,and it took about a hour for him to come out,but as soon as the lights shut off my heart jumped and I started screaming,and when he came on the stage I lost my mind,and I could see him very clearly,and plus I was standing on top my chair. He sung almost every song accept for brand new money and I gets crazy with Nicki Minaj,that kind of Made me mad,but the concert was the best concert I went to in my Life!!!!

My Careers

When I get older, I want to be a Lawyer, Actress, and Model. I plan to go 2 Spelman, Clark, or University of Miami. I do not want go 2 college in my hometown, because I want to get away and experience something new. I prefer to have a career than a job. I also will be an Independent woman.

I plan to be a Lawyer 1st. I’ll do Modeling and Acting part time. I’ll live in a mansion in Atlanta and have a Condo in Florida. I also plan to have a shelter open for all homeless people, struggling mothers and poor families. I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure people get the help they need. I’ll be a successful young lady.

I WONT get married. I’ll be enjoying life, taking care of things on my own! I’ll look out for my family. I’ll also be a help to different communities. When I get older I give people the life they cant give themselves. I'm going to be the number 1 Lawyer in the State, and win Grammy awards for best Actress. Every photographer will want to sign me! Nothing

This keyboard taunts me. All of the letters are just staring at me, waiting for me to start writing, waiting for me to think of something. It feels like their rushing me, even though I know it's impossible for an inanimate object to rush anybody. I really don't want to do this, I would much rather be doing something else like drawing or reading something, but instead I have to be here, writing twelve or more lines about who-knows-what. I'm halfway done and I can't think of anything else to write. It's not like I have anything inti resting to say right now and besides, all I can think of is the song "Stamp on the ground." I think I must be sick because it feels like I have a fever and I've had this really bad migraine since this morning. I only have ten lines. I need to think of something to write or I won't get full credit. I wonder it the grades are put up yet. I can't check on this computor because it doesn't have grade book. There we go, twelve lines.

My first week of school so far have bennn going smooth besides the fact i have been late twice already. I think that this school year will be funner than last school year. I have classes that i like and i can pay attention to. I think the teachers this year are not better than the teachers last year.I will start having a better behavoir in all of my classes.There are more students this year and thay made the lunchroom bigger. I have already gotten use to the school because i am with the same students from last year. I hope that i get in more extra activities this year. Another goal that i hope to achieve this school year is having a higher GPA. I wish that could get in all honors and AP classes. I also in beginnig band class. I also think that geometry will be a fun class because i like doing math. A class that i really miss is computer class becuse it was a really fun class and we did alot of acivities in that class. I will alkso enjoy U.S. history because i really like that subject and i would like to learn many things in american history.

Alright well to start this off i love to play football it's a passion and i carry it with pride. when i play i give it all and i don't stop. I play running back, and linebacker. I live for dancing it's like my lifeline and something to keep me calm when i have any type of emotion. My favorite candy is skittles and gummies amd i can costantly eating i consider myself a internal fat person. I have three brothers j'mari, kyree, da'vion. They are 13, 9,and 1. This summer was better than i expected, I didn't have to go to summer school. it first started out boring it was dead.But i got a chance to go to atlanta to spend time with my cousins.I did my favorite thing to do shop. I was mad because i didn't have a job this summer & everybody did. Didn't go to disneyworld with my godsister. A few suprise things happened to me, I thought I was transfering but it didn't work out. When I got back home my summer was boring, I went over my friend's house. Spent time with my nephews & new cousin. Went to six flags about 5 times amd to wiscosin dell. Went to go vsit my brother in college for a day. I was kind of glad to come back to school because when august came my summer start getting boring. This school year am going to do better than i did last year.

This year at Uplift i plan on getting all A's nd probably one B. Try to get in no fights unless i really have to, like yesterday I got into it with some freshman and he tried to go hard so I had to treat and put him in his place. Other than that this year is going to be real fun and I'm going to make the best of it. Also, I just joined the football team so I'm going to do the best I can with and hopefully win a lot of games. By the end of this year I plan on getting a G.P.A of 3.5 or higher and gettinng many awards at the end of the year. When football season is over I plan on joining a lot of programs so I can get more service learning hours because freshman year i got 25 service learning hours and if I can to do that every year I'll have 100 altogether. With a G.P.A of 3.5 or higher with 100 service learning hours I can get into a real good university, just score high on my ACT test next year and I'm all set.

My Summer

This summer I would say was iight to me i really didnt do much, i went down south to spend the summer with ma 'og' nd ma sisters nd ma lil brother. Being in the south is very boring to me in order to have fun you have to have a car thats why i really didnt do much but we had sum fun we traveled alot. Also dis summer we went to my family reunion we had a ball we went to orlando florida nd had a 3 day stay. Hello i am a sopohmore at Uplift Community High School. So far this year has beeen okay . But i dont like waking up early in the morning. I wake at up at 5:45 and the morning. I get on the bus and i dont lkie that because in the morning it be alot of kids be on the bus. On the CTA it be so crowded and then when its time for you to get off the bus you can't cause it be so many people on the bus. I think the CTA Transportating people shouldmake the buses bigger sothere will be more seats on the bus.Then there will be less cachos in the morning to try and get on and get off the bus. This is my first week at uplift High school i this school. yesterday i made starting run back. man sometimes i wonder about what i do daily. im always occupied and hardly never open. i started to do alot of things so i can get practice when i get into the real world. i play football, play in a band, do my homework, got a job, and i hang with my girlfriend. im starting to learn that i could do my best and still be a busy guy im getting the hang of life.

My Mother and I

My mother and I have strong bonds that know one or anything can break. I love my mother very much and I would give up any thing to be with her and to keep her in my life. Recently my mother started to struggle and have problems in and around the house, because she lost her job. The reason she lost her job was over her surgery. On April 8, 2009 my mother had surgery on the three fibroids my mother had growing rapidly inside of her and was in the hospital for three days. My mother had my grandmother and her best friend in the hospital with her. The week before her surgery I prayed for her and told her I loved her and that everything would be okay. After her surgery they released her from the hospital to my grandmother and she took her home. My mother was told she was not to move around a lot or pick up milk or anything heavier. She was not able to return back to work because the doctor told hr to stay in, but my mother did not want to stay off that long so she returned to work. The boss there did not want my mom to return so she didn’t and since then my mom have been going down I was gone for 3 weeks but I came home to help and support my mother.

Today is friday of the first week of school. The first week of school was a cool week i met new people and made new friends. My schedule is cool, i finally get to learn spanish and i been waiting for that to happen. Out of all my classes i only have three favorite classes which are 1. U.S History 2. Geometry 3. P.E. I have one honors class i never would have saw myself having honors Geometry. I'm going to try and become a better student this year, i messed up last year by not doing my homework and not even trying to finish anything i became very lazy at the start of school. But this year all of that is gonna change.

summer vacation was good this year cause we went out to different places we went to six flags and we went to Indiana. when we went to six flags i went on most of the roller coasters.The scariest ride that i went on was the superman. we went to Indiana we visited my family that lives there. we played soccer i love playing soccer. most of the summer i was playing soccer each team had at least 7 people in their team. when we didn't play as a team i practiced with my brother to get better at scoring goals. on august 23 i had my quincenera my parent made me a big party. i got many presents i had to were a dress . i dont realy like to wear dresses but i did it so my parent could be happy.

this year im so happy with my classes. im out of most of my honors class so i dont have to see the same kids every single period. now i got most of my friends in my classes and i can tell the rest of the year is finna be fun.i only got two honors classes but thats good cause i need all the extra boost i can get. so far being a sophmore seems easy but im gone wait till the middle of the year to make that judgement cause the begining is always easy. i set myself some high goals and plan to try to accomplish them. i hope my sophmore year keeps goin the way its goin cause im lovin it so far.

Sports is one of those ways to get out. Its a way to express yourself and think about all the positive. I know that sports help me get rid of stress. when i do sports i could take my anger out on people. many people say that sports is their life but to me its just like therapy. you can't get punished if you do things fair but yet you could still beat the crap out of people or hit them as hard as you want. This year i want to do very good in my academics because when i was in 9th grade i didnt do so well.I was focused on other things such as cheerleading and having fun but i came to realize when other people was having fun they was also getting good grades so i learned that i cant handle both.I am in the 10th grade now and im much more focused on my academics.I really want to go to spelmen or dominican universty and i know if i want to apply for those schools i was going to have to get goods grades so that is my goal for this year getting good grades.I am a very determine person and i work hard but i will admit that i get lazy some times and fall off track so i am going to not try to do that.My favorite color is blue and green.I like cookies.I eat a whole lot of cheese i dont know why i just love it.My favorite rnb aritist is Trey Songz.My favorite rapper is lil wanye and drake.When i grow up i would like to be a singer and a model if all of that doesnt work out i want to be a journalist i love to right that is what i am good at.When i was little like in the first grade i look up to michell quan she is a ice skater.I wanted to be just like her so one of my teachers gave me a doll that michell quan made and the doll use to spin around.Well there you go i just told you my goals and what i want to become.It is all about me.

my freestyle

Since school started i have been very tired and exhausted. This week school has been vey good because i seen all my friends and know where my classes are. I hope to do good in all my classes because im going to try my hardest and my best to get good grades and get a grade point average as high as a 3.0. Im so glad we get out early every fridays cause i can go home and watch tv, eat, and go to sleep. Tommorrow i wanna go to the movies and go see the movie soroity row cause it looks scary and i love scary movies. This year i want to succeed and get the right grades and become a junior and then a senior so after that i can go to college because i want to become a nurse or a medical biller. When i get out of school i want to get some mcdonalds cuz im hungry, i may get a mcchicken and a sprite. After school around 4 i got to go watch my cousin then im gonna go home. I hope we still get paid for our grades this year cause i need some money and that will also motivate me to keep my grades up like it did last year because in the beggining my grades was good then towards like end my grades went down a little but before school was over i got them back up.

im working on a new song and i want to record in the studio and work on getting seen in the music industry i met a couple of famous people but actor but im thinking that i can be an actor to so i really want to work on doing wath i do best and what i love the most i feel as though im shy to preform and show people how talented im am but i want to be a ble to show that i love what i do and i want to be a a great young artist in the music game i love bow wow and when i get famouse i would love to meet him because he is so fine but anyway i notice that is rare to have a 15 year girl doing what good for her not what other people think what good for me but i feel as even though i not grown i can still make my own choices and do what i think is right to me and right for me but i will take up my responsibility and do what i am suppose to do to respect my self and follow my dreams and stay in school and not wined up on the street like the other young teenagers i will be briana nicole jasmine jacobs

My first week back at uplift

It's a friday in the first week of school. This week was okay people kind of made me mad but over all it was a good week. I have an honars class and I didnt know that I was going to have it but im glad I do honars mean higher grade and that means a higher GPA. I like most of my classes but I dont really like my schedule. Im use to doing something fun for first period. I had gym first period for my freshman year. Now I start off with something serious and it's going to be something that I have to get use to. My favorite 3 periods are 6th period lunch 7th period P.E and 8th period band because for those last periods I dont really do anything so those are my wind down periods. So far my year is going okay. SO FAR

What Happening Mister Free

Lets see thinking about this whole school year, yea this would be way better then last year you know because I was just slacking off for a bit. So this school I would be serious but not to serious, that type of seriuos to finish my work and get everything done. So Basically I really enjoy my sopmore year I want to exceed all grade around you can say a A and or B average, I really am also glad its a new day it friday when everybody get out 3:06. toay is freshmen friday so you know I might do a little damage to some freshmen out here, and I'm going to be low key. this year i plan on getting all A's and B's. Also i'm try do my best in all my class an not get in to get in any mess this year. This Year i think it's goin to be the excited year of all my school year i been at Uplift. Now let me tell u something about me. I love to play basketball. I played basketball all my life since i was like 3 or 4, i also played a little baseball when i was little. Now i only play baketball 24/7 throughout the summer and just hang with the boys and go out to eat with the ladies. I also need to find a girl this year i cant be single anymore. See like its like this girl i use to go with is playing games with me she want to go back out and whatever but she playing games with me. So i got to do me.

school for me right now is going ok. i which it was better though. i only have like i clsswith my close friends and for some i have no classes with them. i think that this is best for me though because i believe that since last year most of my friends were in my classes i didnt do so well. i jus managed to keep a 3.0 g.p.a. also my grades were like on "b" average. i feel like having my friends in my classes brought me down. but this year im going to strive for the best and always try my hardest to succeed. im not gone let no one or nothing stop me. im going to be unstoppable, unbeatable, and undestuctable. i have to do that because im going to be somebody in my family thats going to be something. thats going to make something out of myslef. i cant be a slcaker like i was last year. i hyave to not only do it for myself.but i also have to do it for my younger family that look up to me, and also the future generastions to come.
