The cat that did not meow!

Once there was a cat that lived on the street. This cat was worried; she didn’t know what to do. She had did not just have one or two, instead she had five kittens to take care of. All but one of her offspring looked the same, as black as the night sky. The one that was odd was not like the rest. She had an orange coat. She was also the biggest of all her mother’s offspring. Months passed and she continued to grow and grow, even bigger than her mother.
Hunting every night for rats in the allies, she became the best hunter, catching most of the meals by herself. No matter how big and strong she was, there was one thing she was not able to do. She could not communicate like the rest of her family. They would meow and meow all day and night. She would open her mouth, but no sound would come out. Till one day, animal patrol came and tried to catch her mother and siblings. She jumped out of a garbage can and opened her mouth and gave a big roar. This scared the men and made them run back where they came from. Now every night when you hear meows from outside, you’ll hear a big roar sounding like a lion.
